If you take a bus, the YKB888 Yanbaru Express Bus bound for the resort hotel Bel Paraiso is available from the domestic terminal of Naha Airport (get off at the entrance of Nakijin Castle Ruins), but it takes a long time because of the time schedule of one bus every one to two hours.
It takes about 5 hours round trip by bus, so please take enough time to visit Nakijin Village instead of stopping by on your way to somewhere else.
Point 2: What kind of beach is “Oyadomari Beach”?
Oyadomari Beach” is a long white sand beach surrounded by greenery, where you can see huge limestone rocks sitting in the sea, as is typical of the Okinawan sea.
Although it is one of the most famous beaches in Onna Village, it is not visited by many tourists, and locals take walks and families swim there during the season.
Since it is located in Onna Village, a famous resort area in Okinawa, there are cafes and restaurants around the beach, so you can enjoy the beach afterwards as well.
Since it is not an official beach, there are no changing rooms, showers, or toilets, let alone rentals or activities.
The ocean is very beautiful, so be careful of the currents and dangerous creatures when swimming so you don’t get swept away without realizing it.
When the tide is low, colorful tropical fish can be seen in the tide pools, so even children can have fun.
Point 3: What are the sightseeing and dining options around “Oyadomari Beach”?
The Churaumi Aquarium is a 12-minute drive from Oyadomari Beach. In addition to the aquarium, a tropical botanical garden, a local village, and a marine culture museum are scattered throughout the vast site.
Although it is impossible to visit all of them in a short time, it is a good idea to pinpoint the places you want to see and see only those.
On the way to Churaumi Aquarium, there is “Fukugi Namiki” (a row of Fukugi trees in Bise).
It will be a memorable experience to take a buffalo cart along the tree-lined avenue as a refreshing breeze blows.
