About 30 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This cute wooden cafe is located in Yaese-cho between Nanjo City and Tomigusuku City. Focaccia, bagels, cinnamon rolls, and sandwiches are the main items available. The eat-in space is small, but the view from the nearby Gushigashira Castle Ruins Park is spectacular!

Point 1: Where is Yaese-cho? What is the location where “te” is located?

The cute wooden cafe “te” is located in Yaese-cho, Shimajiri-gun, about 30 minutes by car from Naha Airport.

Many people may not have a clear idea of Yaese Town, but it only takes about 30 minutes to get there from the airport via National Routes 330 and 507.

In terms of location, it is sandwiched between Itoman City, where Himeyuri Tower and Peace Memorial Park are located, and Nanjo City, where Saiba Utaki and Adochi Island are located, so it is like crossing the southern part of Japan diagonally to travel from the airport.

This Yaese town has many unique and beautiful beaches, such as the unique “Gushi-chan beach” with Ryukyu limestone rocks sticking out, which was the location for the PV of “Relax In The City” by Perfume, and Bomagusuku beach with an abandoned hotel.

Point 2: All are excellent! Introducing “te”‘s recommended menu!

te” has a menu that focuses mainly on breads such as bagels and focaccia.

There are various types of bagels, which vary depending on the day, but some examples are plain, soybean flour, salted roselle & green sesame (salted and sour like pickled plums), pumpkin, and nuts & black honey.

There is also a bagel sandwich with handmade soy milk cream & dried figs.

Focaccia also comes in a variety of varieties, including plain, black olive & fennel seed, banana honey, prefecture tomato & basil granapadano cheese, persimmon & granapadano cheese cheese, and black olive & fennel seed.

They are all beautiful to look at, delicious and appetizing!

I like the fact that they use many prefectural products and focus on local production for local consumption.

The prices are also reasonable, ranging from 1,000 to 1,100 yen for a soup and sausage set!

Point 3: Introduction of “te” dessert and drink menu!

te” has drinks and desserts that go well with bread.

For example, the brown sugar coconut milk pudding shown in the photo is a dessert. It is a mild and rich pudding made with locally produced brown sugar and coconut milk.

The coffee is also a specialty, with deep-roasted organic coffee brewed in a Macchinetta (direct-fired espresso machine) (500 yen), long-brewed Dutch iced coffee (550 yen), decaffeinated coffee (550 yen), and homemade herbal cordial (550 yen).

In addition, there are homemade herbal cordials (500 yen), enzyme juice (680 yen), handmade spicy ginger ale (iced 650 yen), brown sugar café latte (650 yen), etc.

In addition to local production for local consumption, the warmth of the handmade products is very favorable!

There are also in-store sales of binfood jams, raw honey from Uchibori Apiaries, Puka Puka Puka whistling salt loin ham and sausages, which are also used in sausages, and bottles of Shukuran enzyme.
