About 38 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is a steak and grill restaurant located in Chatan-cho, central Okinawa main island. The restaurant has a homey atmosphere as if you were in an American home, and the large windows overlooking the barn and the ocean make it the perfect location.

Here you can enjoy not only steaks, but also pasta, hamburgers, and American mom-and-pop mac and cheese!

Point 1: Within walking distance of Ameville! What is the location of EMERALD OCEANSIDE?

EMERALD OCEANSIDE is a steak and grill restaurant located on the Miyagi Coast near American Village in Chatan-cho, central Okinawa Island.

The restaurant is designed in the image of a casual American restaurant on the west coast. The interior is not too formal, but casual chic American style!

It takes about 38 minutes from Naha Airport by car. By bus, you can take the Ryukyu Bus No. 120, bound for Naha Bus Terminal, from in front of the domestic terminal of Naha Airport, and you will arrive at “Kuki-tai Iriguchi” in about 1 hour and 20 minutes without changing buses, which is about a 10-minute walk from there.

To be exact, it is a long walk from American Village. It is located on the 5th floor of a building along the Miyagi Coast, a surfing mecca, with a great view of the ocean! On a clear day, you can see a beautiful sunset!

Since the Kadena Air Base is nearby, many people walking around this area are foreigners, and since many of the customers of this restaurant are also foreigners, the menu content is tailored accordingly.

I hear that you can eat T-bone steak and mac & cheese, which are rarely seen in Japan, but what kind of dishes are they?

Point 2: Steak menu at EMERALD OCEANSIDE

The best menu item at EMERALD OCEANSIDE is steak.

Starting with the popular 450g T-bone steak (4,290 yen), which includes both sirloin and filet, there is also the 1kg Tomahawk steak shown in the photo, the 200g Motobu beef sirloin steak (limited to three colors per day), and the 350g Loco steak with avocado and fried egg on top.

In addition, there is the Cheese Fondue Steak (350g), where the steak is dipped in melted cheese, and the Original Steak (350g), a standard menu item.

All of the menu items are large portions of meat, but the budgets are reasonable, ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 yen for lunch and 3,000 to 4,000 yen for dinner!

The prices are surprisingly low for Japanese people who are used to thinking that meat is expensive.

Point 3: Introduction to the non-meat menu at EMERALD OCEANSIDE!

Steak is not the only thing you will find at EMERALD OCEANSIDE.

Grilled seafood, hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, and pasta are also available.

Grilled dishes include a shrimp plate with five large grilled shrimp, a hamburger steak carefully hand-kneaded at the restaurant, a 170-gram original steak, a “surf and turf” with three large prawns, a “jerk chicken plate,” a Jamaican mother’s favorite, and a thick slice of grilled salmon, and more.

Unusual menu items include shrimp and parsnip ajillo and buffalo chicken, which I would like to order as a starter.

You may feel a little bewildered in a restaurant full of foreigners and with a menu that is unfamiliar in Japan, but you will be able to fully enjoy the feeling of being abroad!

Please visit “EMERALD OCEANSIDE” on the Miyagi Coast, where you can enjoy large-volume steaks, grilled seafood, and American mom-and-pop mac and cheese.
