About 47 minutes by car from Naha Airport. The restaurant is located in the U.S. Army Camp Foster in Tamagami, Chatan-cho, central Okinawa main island. The atmosphere is different from that in Japan, and the spectacular food has to be experienced to be believed! It is a place you will want to visit even if you have to find a lucky find.
Point 1: Where is the “Butler Officers Club” located?
Butler Officers Club” is about 47 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is located in Tamagami, Chatan-cho, closer to Okinawa City.
By bus, take Ryukyu Bus 111 to Yamazato, and from there, it is a 19-minute walk to the restaurant without having to change buses.
The restaurant is located inside the U.S. military facility “Camp Foster,” and if you are escorted by someone with a U.S. military ID, you can enter by registering your ID and phone number at the entrance.
If you do not know anyone in the U.S. military at all, you will not be able to enter!
There are some restaurants in the U.S. military that you can enter without ID, but this is a relatively high hurdle to overcome.
Especially on Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the atmosphere is very lively, so you should find some friends in the military to go there with you.
I thought it would not be a very casual place from the name, but Americans dress in formal attire for events, so as a Japanese who has never had a formal experience, I was overwhelmed by the unusualness of the place.
Point 2: What kind of food is served at the “Butler Officers Club”?
Inside the building of the Butler Officers’ Club is a spacious lobby where we wait for our names to be called. At the back of the lobby, there is a banquet hall with a stately atmosphere and several round tables lined with tablecloths.
The atmosphere alone is like a foreign country.
So, what kind of food is served?
The photo shows the Disney Character Lunch, but during the most exciting time of the year, “Thanksgiving Day” in November, a lunch buffet is held, attracting many people.
To give you an example of the menu, there is a wide variety of chicken, ham, steak, potato gratin with potato salad, meatballs and pumpkin soup, terrine, petite cakes, rolls, cherry pie, eclairs, and other “separate stomach” desserts.
This place is heaven, isn’t it? The variety of food is so great that you would think you were in heaven. Buffets can be found in Japanese hotel buffets, but this one is the real American style, with all kinds of unfamiliar items, so you will be excited every time you visit.
Point 3: “Butler Officers Club” Sunday Brunch information!
According to the official website of the Butler Officers Club, a “Sunday Brunch” is being held.
The price is $19 for adults, $9.5 for children 5-11, and free for children under 5.
The menu includes hors d’oeuvres, meat, salad bar, pasta, and dessert.
It’s a quick description, but I’m sure it’s a buffet with more variety than you can eat.
The buffet includes a live chef’s kitchen, so it is quite luxurious for the price.
Located in Chatan-cho near Okinawa City, the Butler Officers Club offers an extraordinary American menu that you have never seen before in a banquet hall in a luxurious building that looks like a hotel banquet hall. Please find a friend with ID and visit us.
