About 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This hamburger specialty restaurant is located in American Village in Mihama, Chatan-cho, central Okinawa main island.
American Village is a fierce battleground for hamburgers, but this restaurant has an outstanding reputation! Not only is it delicious, but it also has a reputation for excellent customer service.
Point 1: In Ameville! Where is “atabii’s” located?
Atabii’s” is a hamburger specialty restaurant located in the American Village in Chatan-cho, central Okinawa’s main island, and has been in business for seven years.
It is a restaurant that has been in business for seven years, and is probably the most popular hamburger restaurant in Japan, and is also the most highly rated in the fierce competition for the best hamburger restaurants in the American Village.
It takes about 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport.
By bus, take Ryukyu Bus No. 120 from Naha Airport Domestic Terminal and get off at Kuwae, then it is only an 11-minute walk to the restaurant. The trip takes about 1 hour and 13 minutes, but the best part is that there are no transfers! The fare will be 900 yen.
The location of this restaurant is the Depot Island Seaside Building, right in the heart of the American Village. It is right on the oceanfront and has a terrace where you can enjoy a great sunset on a clear evening.
It is easy to miss the restaurant because it does not have a very flashy appearance, but the large hamburger object on the storefront and a large sign with a picture of a hamburger on it are landmarks!
Point 2: Introduction of “atabii’s” hamburger menu!
Atatabii offers about seven different types of burgers on its menu.
The most popular is the Neo Bacon Cheese Burger (1,804 yen), a taco-style take on the regular bacon cheeseburger, topped with savory fried onions.
The second most popular item is the Salsa Mushroom Mozzarella Burger (1,782 yen). This popular burger has a perfect balance of mushrooms and mozzarella cheese.
There are also salsa burgers, bacon cheeseburgers, guacamole burgers, honey mustard burgers, and a rare grilled apple burger!
The lineup seems a little different from the burger menu in Japan, perhaps because it reflects the tastes of the U.S. military, which is one of the restaurant’s top customers.
Point 3: Introduction to the non-burger menu at “atabii’s”!
Most people who come to “atabii’s” order a hamburger, but in fact, the restaurant also offers a meal menu other than hamburgers.
However, there is something else on the menu besides hamburgers.
There are three types of sandwiches: the grilled ham, egg, and cheese sandwich (1,452 yen), the pastrami sandwich (2,002 yen), and the veggie sandwich (1,859 yen).
The meat and vegetable volume of the “Pastrami Sandwich” is particularly surprising!
Other side dishes include “French Fries,” “Fried Chips,” “Onion Rings,” and “Chicken Nuggets,” all of which are available in regular and large sizes.
Soft drinks are priced at 385 yen. The last two mysterious drinks on the drink menu, “Today’s Guest Beer” and “Today’s Guest Cider” (ASK STAFF), are of interest.
