This book café is located in the mountains of Okuma, in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, about a two-hour drive from Naha Airport. No cell phone service is available, and payment is by cash only. It is inconvenient, but there is a great nature. To get there, go north on Route 58 until you reach “Michi no Eki Yui Yui Kunigami” and turn right onto a narrow road.

Some people say, “You can get there by going up the road next to the Family Mart near the Yui Yui Kunigami roadside station. This is the only place where even a car navigation system cannot pick up a signal.

Point 2: Introduction of “Book Cafe Okinawa Rail” menu
Book Cafe Okinawa Rail used to offer lunch plates but is now only open for the café menu. The timing of its revival is undecided.
The coffee jelly in the photo was said to be a prototype, but it is unknown if it is currently offered.
There is no menu listed on their website, and it seems that they are operating with the menu they can offer that day.
They have always had NY cheesecake, coffee, tea, and cafe lattes.
How can they be operating with such uncertain information provided? In the city, I would be tempted to be angry, but in the mountains of Yanbaru, Okinawa, I am surprised that I can forgive them.

After 6 years of conceptualization, they have been supplying electricity from the sun with off-grid equipment like the one shown in the photo, drawing water from the mountains for filtration, and using a combined septic tank for sewage. Gas is indeed propane gas.
What about rainy days with solar power? But on cloudy and rainy days, they use Outlander PHEV to provide electricity! is the only word that comes to mind.
Near the book café, there is also a self-contained cottage “Holiday Dia,” which is even more eco-friendly; only the Wi-Fi uses Starlink, and Wi-Fi is said to be delivered from outer space.
