About 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This Ryukyuan restaurant, which serves Ryukyuan cuisine in small bowls, is located in Matsuo, Naha City. It just opened in August 2024 and has already become a hot spot among tourists. If you want to eat various kinds of Okinawan cuisine, but you are too full after a few kinds, this is a must-see.

Point 1: What is the location of Ryukyu Obanzai Tsukaya near Tsuboya Yachimun Street?

Ryukyu Obanzai Tsukaya” is a restaurant of Ryukyuan cuisine served in small bowls, located in Matsuo 2-chome, Naha City, about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport.

Matsuo 2-chome, Naha City is about a 9-minute walk from Hotel Collective, which is located in the middle of Kokusai-dori Street. Walk toward Yachimun Street in Tsuboya, and you will find the restaurant just a little bit further into the residential area.

It does not take much time to get back to the hotel, no matter where you are staying in Naha City, so even if you get drunk, it will not be so hard to get back home.

By Yui Rail, it is a 10-minute walk from Miebashi Station and a 13-minute walk from Makishi Station.

There is no parking available, so you will have to park at a nearby coin-operated parking lot. There are several coin-operated parking lots around Kokusai-dori, including behind “Hotel JAL City Naha,” so it is recommended that you park and then walk.

The exterior has a nice natural, Japanese-style paneling. When you enter, you will find brand new wooden tables and chairs, and it feels very clean.

The food is made with Okinawan ingredients and is easy on the body. We are glad that they have a child-friendly attitude, such as sharing Okinawa soba with you.

Point 2: Introduction of the “Ryukyu Gozen” lunch menu at Ryukyu Obanzai Tsukaya!

Ryukyu Obanzai Tsukaya has created a menu called “Ryukyu Gozen” to encourage customers to eat as many different kinds of Okinawan cuisine as possible.

It comes with 12 kinds of Obanzai served on small Ryukyu glass plates, rice, and miso soup in a wooden box a stacked box, and costs only 1,600 yen (tax not included).

The colorful dishes on the beautiful Ryukyu glassware will make you say “wow” without thinking! It has a great impact on the eye and is very impressive! It looks like a jewelry box. It is not so common to find a restaurant that serves rice in a Ryukyu glass container, is it?

For an extra 200 yen, you can change the rice to Jushi and the miso soup to Okinawa soba!

Point 3: What else is on the “Ryukyu Obanzai Tsukaya” menu?

Ryukyu Obanzai Tsukaya” is currently open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

So, in effect, it is only open for lunch.

For those who have already had the Ryukyu Gozen and would like to try something else, there is the “Rafty Donburi” (1,200 yen, tax not included).

This is a bowl of rice topped with a luxurious bowl of sweet and spicy, melt-in-your-mouth rate that has been carefully simmered over a long period.

The price of Okinawan soba noodles goes up with the rafte, but about 10 slices of rafte with a small bowl of cooked rice and miso soup for 1,200 yen is a pretty good deal, don’t you think?

The quantity of this dish is limited, so we recommend that you visit the restaurant as soon as possible.
