Yama Neko Restaurant is a creative restaurant located in Hedona, Kunigami Village, in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island.
As you drive north on Route 58, you will gradually see the scenery of northern Yanbaru change, and the blue of the sea will change as well.
After passing Okuma, you will suddenly come to an area where several restaurants stand side by side, and this Yamaneko Restaurant is located in that area.
It takes about 1 hour and 47 minutes by car from Naha Airport via Okinawa Expressway and Route 58.
By bus, take the Okinawa Airport Shuttle OAS/RSL-RP to “Nago City Hall Mae”, then take Ryukyu Bus No. 67 from “Hokubu Godo Chosha Mae” (an 8-minute walk) and get off at “Hedona”. From there it is a one-minute walk to the restaurant.
Although the distance is far, it is worth remembering that you only need to change buses once and that if you use the Okinawa Okinawa Airport Shuttle OAS/RSL-RP, the fare is about 1,000 yen cheaper than using a local bus.
The “Yama Neko Ryoriyaki” has a narrow frontage and a rustic feel, but it has a very high reputation for flavor and is highly favored, mainly by the local people.
