This delicatessen is located in Matsuo, Naha City, about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It offers not only tempura and other delicacies, but also super cheap bento boxes, curry, and everything in between, so it is recommended for home-drinkers and hotel-drinkers! Enjoy Okinawan gourmet food in the comfort of your room!

Point 1: Across from Noren Plaza! What is the location of Uehara Parlor?

Uehara Parlor” is located in Matsuo, Naha City, across the street from ‘Noren Plaza,’ which is filled with gourmet spots.

It faces the main street called “Kainan Seseragi Dori,” but it is also a corner of a shopping street.

The hot cases of tempura and the yellow awning are landmarks.

The name “parlor” may remind you of an old-fashioned coffee shop, but it is a delicatessen.

It is only a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport. Just turn onto Kainan Seseragi Dori from National Route 331, and the restaurant is on the main street, so you will rarely get lost.

If you are not driving, take Ryukyu Bus No. 83, get off at “Kainan” and walk for 1 minute, or take Ryukyu Bus No. 120, which also passes Kokusai-dori, get off at “Hotel Collective-mae” and walk for 9 minutes.

Both of these buses do not require transfers, so access can be said to be easy.

The restaurant opens at 7:00 in the morning and is a very lively place in the bustling shopping street. It is a popular store, so be sure to get the items you are looking for as soon as possible.

Point 2: Introduction of types of tempura at “Uehara Parlor”!

Okinawa Tempura” is the main product of ”Uehara Parlor.

There is a hot case in a prominent place in the restaurant, and the system allows customers to buy their favorite tempura by pointing it out.

In addition to the popular Mozuku seaweed, fish, and bitter gourd, there are also squid surimi, squid, shrimp, and Yasai (70-130 yen), and fried pork cutlet, ham cutlet, Taimo croquette, and quail egg (120-220 yen).

All look delicious and there are so many varieties that you may end up buying too many.

Okinawan tempura has a dashi (Japanese soup stock) flavor to the batter, so you don’t need tempura sauce and can eat it like a snack!

It is also nice that you can buy tempura for as low as 70 yen, even though you are in the middle of Naha.

Point 3: Introduction of non-tempura products from “Uehara Parlor”!

In addition to tempura, the “Uehara Parlor” sells sushi, small and large bento boxes, somen Champuru, curry, and Jujusshi for as low as 110 to 350 yen.

All of them are handmade hearty and delicious.

It is nice to feel the warmth of the food, which is a little different from prepared foods from department stores or delis.

I always have a fantasy that it would be nice to buy a variety of tempura, side dishes, and bento boxes at this restaurant and have a local gourmet party in my room while drinking.

And I like that everything is reasonably priced in Naha, where everything is expensive at touristy prices!

Just be aware that although they are open until 4 p.m., the popular side dishes sometimes sell out early. Please come and visit.
