This onigiri shop is located in San-Ei Parco City in Urasoe City, about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. We are happy to have not only standard onigiri but also unique Okinawan ones such as abura-miso and jushi. It is good to be able to eat them casually.
Point 1: In Parco City! Where is “Pippi’s Onigiri Center” located?
Pippi’s Onigiri Center” opened in August 2023 on the 1st floor of San-Ei Parco City in Urasoe City.
PARCO CITY, which opened in June 2019, is comparable in size to AEON Lycoming, also in the central Okinawa main island, but has more stores than AEON Lycoming.
Pippi’s Onigiri Center” is located on the first floor of Parco City.
It is difficult to find it because of its large size, but we recommend that you go there after confirming its location in advance.
Please go to the “Orange Zone” on the first floor of PARCO City.
It takes about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Just head north on Route 58, so you will not get lost. There are 4,000 parking spaces available.
By bus, you can go directly to the bus stop “San-Ei Parco City-mae” by taking Ryukyu Bus No. 26. It is a 3-minute walk from the bus stop, but it may take some time to locate the store, so consider an extra 20 minutes.
Point 2: Some are unique to Okinawa! Introducing onigiri from “Pippi’s Onigiri Center!
Rice balls at “Pippi’s Onigiri Center” include standard items such as salmon, salmon roe, etc., but there are also “taco rice” rice balls with taco meat and cheddar cheese on top, as well as Jushi and pork egg, as shown in the photo.
Rice is purchased directly from farmers in Saitama and Oita prefectures, and nori (seaweed) is picked in the morning from Ariake. In addition to the delicious ingredients, these rice balls are the best match for the aroma of the sea and the natural sweetness of the rice.
The price is higher than that of onigiri from convenience stores, but the satisfaction is high because the ingredients are carefully selected and first-rate materials are used.
Point 3: “Pippi’s Onigiri Center” otaku sets are also available!
Pippi’s Onigiri Center” offers not only individual onigiri, but also an ‘otaku set’ that includes two onigiri of your choice and one choice of sweet and spicy chicken, Okinawan soba, pork miso soup, or yushi tofu.
If you feel that a carbohydrate-only onigiri is not enough for you, you can also replenish your protein intake with chicken or tofu!
Prices vary depending on the rice ball, ranging from 600 yen to 1,180 yen.
For men, this may not be enough, but it is good when you are a little hungry!
There is also “Okinawa Oden,” a dish that is very flavorful and looks delicious.
Okinawa oden is characterized by the inclusion of “Tebichi” (pig’s feet), “Soki” (pork ribs on the bone), and sometimes lettuce, and is a favorite, especially on chilly days in Okinawa. Standard Okinawan dishes are good, but for those who would like to try Okinawan oden, we highly recommend it.
Located on the first floor of San-Ei Parco City in Urasoe City, “Pippi’s Onigiri Center” is an onigiri shop that offers a variety of unique Okinawan specialties, from standard onigiri to pork and egg, tacos, and Okinawan onden, etc. A special set that includes Yushi tofu, Okinawa soba, pork miso soup, etc. is available. Please come and visit us.
