King Side is a small American-style cafe located in Hamakawa, Chatan-cho, central Okinawa. The visual of the cafe is very exciting!
This area is located near Kadena Air Base, and many former foreign residences are being used as cafes and other stores.
Most of them are run by young Japanese, but since there are many foreigners in the area, many of the signs are written in horizontal characters, giving the place a foreign feel!
The interior has been beautifully remodeled by removing the walls of what used to be three rooms, leaving a retro atmosphere, and just being there is enjoyable.
It takes about 48 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is not that difficult to get there as all you have to do is go north on Route 58 and turn left a little toward the sea. There are several parking lots available.
For buses, you can also take Ryukyu Bus No. 120, No. 28, or other buses, get off at the “Air Force Entrance” and walk toward the sea to reach the restaurant in about 4 minutes. Since there is no transfer, access is not so difficult.

The ice cream was very satisfying as there was a lot of ice cream in one scoop. Both the pistachio and vanilla flavors were rich and delicious.
