Approximately 31 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is a bakery affiliated with Terrace Hotels, located north of American Village in Mihama, Chatan Town. The quality of the bread is so high that it may be one of the top five in Okinawa, a bread battleground that is not well known to the public! It is a bakery that you should visit at least once.
Point 1: What is THE TERRACE BAKERY’s location?

THE TERRACE BAKERY is located north of American Village in Mihama, Chatan Town, in what is called the “Fisherina District.
It is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the American Village, where many young people are often found, and is also home to many hotels such as the Hilton and MB Gallery, where adults can relax and unwind.
THE TERRACE BAKERY is located in the continuation of “Uminchu Wharf,” the building closest to the harbor.
It is located in a slightly tucked-away position, so it is easy to miss it. The yellow eave at the entrance is a landmark.
Once inside the bakery, you will find a very clean and urban display of delicious-looking breads. In addition to bread, gift boxes, and jams are also available, making it a great place to buy unconventional souvenirs.
It takes about 31 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Drive north on Route 58, pass American Village, turn left at the corner of “Family Mart Chatan Fisherina” and drive for a few tens of seconds to find the store.
For buses, there are various options such as Ryukyu Bus No. 120, No. 28, or Limousine Bus Naha Airport Line, but the Limousine Bus is slightly cheaper. Get off at “Ihei” and walk about 7 minutes to the restaurant.
Point 2: What bread do you recommend at THE TERRACE BAKERY?
THE TERRACE BAKERY has so many delicious-looking breads that it is really hard to decide which one to buy.
There are two main categories: hard breads such as baguettes and breads, and viennoiserie breads such as croissants and danishes.
I bought the white bread (pan blanc, 220 yen) shown in the photo, although I heard that Mentaiko French and croissants are popular.
THE TERRACE BAKERY also has a small corner in “Naha Terrace” in Naha, where I have bought bread before, and they always offer tasting and freebies.
I decided to buy the “white bread” because I tasted it and it was delicious.
The bread is made with half rice flour and half wheat flour, and all the bread is made with liquid natural yeast (Levain Liquid), so it tastes like wheat, moist, sticky, and very tasty.
There is nothing in the middle of the bread, and the simplicity of the bread makes the taste of the ingredients stand out.
Seafood House Pier 54 next door is an affiliate of The Terrace Bakery, so you can enjoy delicious West Coast-style seafood and bread from The Terrace Bakery while looking out at the ocean.
Point 3: What do you recommend for THE TERRACE BAKERY cakes?
THE TERRACE BAKERY also has a sweet Danish like the one in the photo at the eat-in space. They look really cute.
The Terrace Bakery also offers a wide variety of cakes such as German cake, banana mousse, baked cheesecake, tiramisu, and macarons at reasonable prices ranging from 194 yen to 432 yen.
We are glad that the prices are reasonable even though we are affiliated with a hotel! The taste is as unmistakable as the bread, and the appearance is stylish as well.
Terrace Hotels also sells original jams and brownies (1,494 yen), a classic American pastry in a gift box, which makes good souvenirs.
