It is about 43 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This popular pizza restaurant is located in Sonoda, Okinawa City, central Okinawa Island. The location is easy to find since it is along Route 330 where many popular restaurants are located. Prices are moderate, but the lunch set is a good deal! Even though it is lunch, it comes with a substantial appetizer!
Point 1: 43 minutes from the airport! Surprisingly close? What is the location of BURRATA?
BURRATA is a popular pizza restaurant located in Sonoda, Okinawa City, central Okinawa Island.
It is 43 minutes from Naha Airport via Okinawa Expressway.
By bus, surprisingly, you can take the Limousine Bus Naha Airport Line to Yamazato and walk for 14 minutes to save money and time.
Yellow with blue “BURRATA” lettering sign. The cool foreign-style signage makes you expect what kind of pizza they will serve!
Note that there is no dedicated parking space, so please use the nearest “Moromiri Parking” or “Rich Parking”.
Please note that this is a small restaurant with six counter seats and two box seats, and reservations can be made by phone, and payment is cash only.
Point 2: Quite a bargain! Introducing the lunch set at Burrata!
BURRATA” is popular for its pizzas made with unique methods, such as prosciutto, Bianca (gorgonzola), mais (corn), marinara (Aomori garlic), and Margherita.
These pizzas can cost more than 2,000 yen by themselves, but the lunch set includes a pizza or pasta for 1,700 yen to 2,600 yen, an appetizer, and a drink, making it a very reasonable price!
In addition, the lunch set special includes a set drink including mango juice, guava juice, root beer, etc., and a salad + drink for +300 yen. The dessert set (pistachio pudding, etc.) is +200 yen, which is also quite a bargain.
The pizza, with its crispy crust and moist interior, is so delicious that even the uninitiated can tell it is different from other restaurants after just one bite! Even the Italians who visit this restaurant give their stamp of approval.
This is indeed a restaurant that has been selected as one of the “100 Best Restaurants”!
Point 3: Introduction of the evening menu, dessert “Burrata” and other menu items!
BURRATA is open at night from 5:30 p.m., but the “raw oysters with stracciatella,” which was also served for lunch, is highly recommended! Stracciatella is a type of mozzarella cheese with a rich, creamy flavor that goes perfectly with raw oysters!
Other dishes include wood-grilled prefectural tuna with bottarga (1,200 yen), Italian tomatoes and burrata cheese (the cheese that gave the restaurant its name) caprese-style (1,800 yen), and sauteed Peruvian white asparagus (1,200 yen), which is not often found in stores, with a mozzarella-based sauce. It is an exquisite dish!
For dessert, the popular affogato-style pistachio pudding, Hojicha latte, and matcha latte are also authentic and delicious!
We also highly recommend the hard Italian pudding-like “pistachio pudding! This was also offered for 200 yen for lunch, so you have to try it!
These are just a few of the many recommended menu items at Burrata, but when the pizzas sell out, it is announced on Instagram. Sometimes they sell out earlier than closing time, so we recommend coming early if possible.
