It takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This ice cream specialty store is located in Motobu-cho, the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, just across from Sesoko Island. The volume is easy to eat, somewhere between a parfait and ice cream! Cute decorations make it Instagram-worthy! Lots of different reputations! You have to go there now!
Point 1: It’s still far away! What is the location of “Ice Cream Time Sesoko Island”?
Ice Cream Jikan Sesoko Island Store” is an ice cream specialty store located on Sesoko Island in Motobu-cho, the northern part of Okinawa’s main island.
It takes 1 hour and 35 minutes from Naha Airport via Okinawa Expressway or Route 58.
By bus, first, take the “Yanbaru Express Bus” to Motobu Port, then take bus No. 65 bound for Watakuchi or Nakijin from the Ryukyu Bus stop located a 1-minute walk away, and get off at “No. 2 Hamasaki”. It is a 14-minute walk to the restaurant.
Cute peppermint green exterior. Inside there is some eat-in space.
The interior, which is said to be inspired by the ocean and nature of Okinawa, is made from “scrap wood”. Recycling is stylish in a good way.
It is nice that there is an open-air eat-in space on the rooftop as well! On a sunny day, you can also enjoy sweets and Okinawan nature here!
Point 2: What is the recommended menu for “Ice Cream Jikan Sesoko Island Branch”?
The “Ice Cream Jikan Sesoko Island Store” has a reputation for ice cream that is more like a middle ground between ice cream and parfait than regular ice cream.
The most prominent item is the “Sesoko Island Soft Ice Cream Parfait” with a whale shark cookie attached, and it is safe to say that most people ordered this item already. Not only is it rich and delicious, but the fact that a cookie in the shape of a whale shark is on the parfait is quite impressive!
Other items available include normal, honey, snow cones, chocotte parfait, red sweet potato soft serve parfait, coffee jelly, berry berry, chocolate banana, Uji green tea, and chinsuko.
Prices range from 500 to 720 yen, which seems inexpensive for the volume.
In Tokyo, 500 yen for a parfait is no longer possible.
There is a wide variety of toppings, including Shiratama, crispy chocolate, raw chocolate, anko (red bean paste), Chinsuko (sweet red bean paste), nata de coco (nata de coco), and one type of sauce (30 yen)! It looks like you can make your customized ice cream!
From standard items to seasonal items and items made with ingredients unique to Okinawa, some of the menu items are only available here, making it very difficult to decide on just one.
Point 3: “Ice Cream Jikan Sesoko Island Store” One of a kind in the world! Some accessories are made of marine plastic!
At “Ice Jikan Sesoko Island Store,” in one corner of the store are earrings, necklaces, tie pins, and other accessories made from “ocean plastic” that were destined to be discarded.
These accessories are made by a company called “TRUE BLUE” on Sesoko Island and are sold on consignment.
No two accessories are the same, and each one is unique and original! It is more wonderful than any expensive accessory to be able to enjoy yourself while the ocean is clean!
TRUE BLUE] is located on Kouri Island, where you can experience making your key chains and accessories, so if you are interested, please visit them.
