Approximately 1 hour and 48 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is a resort where you can experience Ayurveda in Motobu-cho, the northern part of Okinawa Island. It is the only place in Japan where you can not only experience Ayurveda but also stay overnight. You can also experience Ayurveda as a one-day trip, so why not detoxify your mind and body?
Point 1: What is the location of “Ayur Wellness Resort”?
Ayur Wellness Resort” is a private villa located in Motobu-cho, northern Okinawa’s main island, about 90 minutes from Naha Airport, where you can experience Yanbaru nature, Okinawa-inspired wellness, and food regimen for health and longevity.
Nakijin Village, Motobu-cho’s neighbor, has been the focus of much attention due to the opening of an interactive theme park, “Jangria,” in the summer of 2025!
In the past, northern areas of Japan were often associated with the Churaumi Aquarium, but in recent years, there has been a lot of talk about staying in the area to experience the nature of Yanbaru and enjoy activities and refreshments.
It takes about 1 hour and 48 minutes from Naha Airport via Okinawa Expressway.
By bus, we recommend taking the Okinawa Airport Shuttle OAS/RSL-RP via “Bise Fukugi Namiki Iriguchi” (24-minute walk) or the Ryukyu Bus No. 65 bus from “Bise Iriguchi” to “Niisato” (6-minute walk), which is the most time and cost-saving route.
Point 2: Introduction of rooms at “Ayur Wellness Resort”!
Ayur Wellness Resort” is a luxurious space that makes lavish use of a 220-tsubo site.
While Ayurveda treatments are available on a day trip basis, guests can also choose to stay overnight in a single building.
The design of the resort is based on Stupati Aveda architecture, “an ancient architectural design conceived for good health,” which was also used for the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat, etc. For example, the bedrooms use room shapes and colors that help guests fall asleep and get sound sleep, and other measures are taken to soothe guests’ minds and bodies.
Come to think of it, some Ayurvedic facilities in Bali and other places have adopted this kind of architectural shape.
It is surprising that the shape and color of the rooms have a bearing on how easy it is to fall asleep and get a good night’s sleep.
There are two treatment rooms and two bedrooms on the property, with two semi-double beds and one king-size bed, accommodating up to four people.
The bath with a large blue tiled bathtub has a Tsuboniwa garden.
The lounge/living room is flooded with light.
And there is also a kitchen.
All rooms are designed so that you can see the courtyard with a pond and feel the tropical greenery planted in the courtyard.
Accommodation plans include an overnight stay with no meal, 2 nights and 3 days with meals (constitution improvement), a long stay with no meal (overnight stay with no meal), and a day trip plan, and meals can be added as an option: breakfast with breakfast (+2,500 yen), dinner with dinner (+3,000~4,000 yen), or breakfast & dinner (+5,500~6,000 yen).
By the way, the price is 100,000 yen for up to 4 people per building with no meals, and 113,800 yen per room for 2 people with 4 meals for the 3-day/2-night constitutional improvement plan.
In addition to consultation and Ayurvedic treatment, a self-care kit, herbal tea prescription, and herb garden access are also included.
Long-term stay plans are 30% off the regular price!
Day trips include deep detox & fatigue oil therapy, brain reset (Shirodhara), metabolism-boosting and vitality-promoting programs, and many more. (Reservations can be made from 1 person.) Prices range from 18,000 yen to 18,000 yen.
Prices range from 18,000 yen to 195,000 yen, making it an affordable and easy experience.
The one-day experience includes a welcome herbal drink, shower, and use of the lounge while enjoying a detoxifying drink.
Point 3: What are the services for “Ayur Wellness Resort” guests?
Ayur Wellness Resort offers complimentary services for guests.
The Ayurvedic Resort offers a “Holistic Tea Lounge” where guests can enjoy detox water and herbal teas according to their dosha and an “Ayurvedic Snack Bar” with healthy snacks that boost the immune system and have anti-aging effects.
In addition, there is a “library,” a space that provides books, magazines, and relaxing music related to wellness and Ayurveda, which guests are free to use.
If possible, we would like to enjoy the maintenance of mind and body by staying at the inn for a longer period, rather than just for sightseeing!
This facility is “the only Ayurveda facility where you can stay overnight in Japan,” and we recommend you experience it once.
