Approximately 1.5 hours by car from Naha Airport. Here is a summary of the attractions at Jungle Land Okinawa, which will open on July 25, 2025. In addition to the attractions featured in TV commercials, there are many other exciting attractions, with a total of 20 attractions to get you excited! Enjoy special attractions that can only be experienced in the great outdoors of Yanbaru.
Point 1: Location – Adventure begins in the great outdoors
In 2025, a large theme park called “Junglia Okinawa” will open in Nakijin Village in northern Okinawa. Set in the untouched nature of the Yanbaru Forest, this new entertainment space with the theme of “nature, adventure, and surprise” is attracting a lot of attention.
Under the tropical sun, the park offers a non-daily location where you can feel the sea breeze, truly capturing the essence of a resort. Spanning an area equivalent to approximately five Tokyo Domes, the vast park is packed with attractions that will captivate visitors of all ages.
Access is approximately 1.5 hours from Naha Airport via the Okinawa Expressway.
By bus, take Ryukyu Bus routes 120 or 117, or the Okinawa Airport Shuttle OAS/RSL-RP to “Nago Crossroads” or “Nago City Hall,” then transfer to Ryukyu Bus route 66 and get off at “Yukawa.” From there, it is a 42-minute walk.
There is no transportation beyond the “Yuwaku” bus stop, so you will need to rent a car or take a taxi. We recommend reserving a taxi in advance.
Additionally, a bus called the “Jungle Express” is scheduled to operate, allowing direct access from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, Nago City Hall Bus Stop, Nago Fishing Port, Motobu Port, Naha City, Naha Airport, and Official Hotels (excluding some locations). (Reservations begin on July 8. The fare is 2,500 yen from Naha Airport, 500 yen from other locations, and free from affiliated parking lots.)
The shuttle bus has a capacity of 50 passengers per trip. Six trips are scheduled per day, but how crowded will it be?
Many people are expected to use rental cars, but there is only one parking lot within the Jungaria Okinawa. It can accommodate 1,126 vehicles, and the fee is 2,000 yen. Reservations are required.
Affiliated paid parking lots (500 yen, reservation status unknown)
・Nakijin Village Yugawa ① 220 spaces
・Nakijin Village Yugawa ② 80 spaces
・Nago City Goya 250 spaces
Affiliated free parking lots (free, no reservation required)
・Aeon Nago Store Rooftop Parking Lot 350 spaces
・Nakijin Castle Ruins 4th Parking Lot: 150 spaces.
There is only one parking lot within Jungle Land Okinawa, which can accommodate 1,126 vehicles.
It takes about 10 minutes by car from Nakijin Village Yuwaku to Jungle Land Okinawa, 15 minutes to Aeon Nago Store, and about 18 minutes to Nakijin Castle Ruins. Walking there would take over an hour, which is a bit of a concern.
Point 2: Introduction to the attractions – 20 diverse hands-on attractions
Junglia offers a wide variety of attractions, from thrilling rides to heartwarming live shows, with approximately 20 different options available.
One of the most talked-about attractions is “Dinosaur Safari,” where you can encounter “moving dinosaurs.” Life-size dinosaurs roam the jungle, immersing you in a realistic world.
Additionally, the “Horizon Balloon,” a hot-air balloon-style ride standing over 100 meters tall, offers a 360-degree view of the breathtaking scenery of northern Okinawa. The leisurely aerial journey provides an excellent therapeutic effect.
There are also plenty of thrilling attractions, such as the gravity-defying free fall ride “Gravity Drop” and the bungee-style aerial glider “Bungee Glider.”
For those who enjoy athletics in nature, popular attractions include “Tree Top Trekking,” which takes you through the trees, and “Sky Trekking,” which takes you across ropes stretched across the sky.
Families will also appreciate the abundance of attractions for young children. These include “Finding Dinosaur,” themed around dinosaur hunting, and “Yanbaru Friends,” where you can interact with animals from Okinawa’s forests, offering corners where learning and play go hand in hand.
Furthermore, the park is filled with captivating attractions, such as regularly scheduled live shows and impromptu performances by breakdancers.
Point 3: Highly recommended! Three attractions selected by the editorial department
Now, let’s take a look at some of the most recommended attractions!
- Sky Phoenix: Experience flying like a bird with your arms spread wide over the jungles of Okinawa. The dynamic movements as you race through the park’s skies are sure to thrill thrill-seekers. At night, the attraction is illuminated, creating a fantastical scene. Surprisingly, even children under the age of 10 can enjoy this attraction.
- Horizon Balloon: A hot-air balloon-style attraction that rises to a height of 100 meters. Enjoy the experience of becoming one with the wind while taking in the views of the Yanbaru Forest and the sea below. It’s also a popular spot for commemorative photos.
- Dinosaur Safari: An immersive attraction where you can encounter moving dinosaurs, as seen in commercials. Sounds and vibrations are realistically reproduced, giving you the feeling of being lost in a real Jurassic jungle. This is the most popular attraction at Jungle Okinawa.
Additionally, popular attractions have a “Premium Pass” available for purchase in addition to tickets, allowing you to skip the waiting time and enjoy the attraction without worrying about the ticket time.
