Jungleia Okinawa will open on July 25, 2025. Surprisingly, there are many attractions that even small children can enjoy. However, there are some attractions with strict height and weight restrictions, which can be confusing. We have summarized them here.
Point 1: Where is Junglia Okinawa located?
Jungle Okinawa is a much-talked-about theme park that will open on July 25, 2025, in Nakijin Village in northern Okinawa Island. It is located about an hour and a half by car from Naha Airport, so access requires some caution. By public transportation, it may involve bus transfers and a 40-minute walk from the bus stop, which may be a bit challenging for families with young children.
However, rest assured. Shuttle buses will be operating from Naha Airport, Kokusai Street, Nago City, and official hotels (2,500 yen from the airport, 500 yen from other locations, and free from partnered parking lots). Be sure to check the schedule and pickup/drop-off locations in advance to minimize travel stress.
Point 2: Introduction of attractions with no height restrictions
Jungle Okinawa offers a variety of attractions that even small children can enjoy with peace of mind. The following attractions have no height restrictions.
■Fighting Dinosaur Premium Pass is applicable, a play area themed around dinosaurs. Children will be captivated by crawling through tunnels and playing with interactive features.
■Yanbaru Friends Premium Pass is applicable, a cute animal interaction experience set in Okinawa’s Yanbaru forest. The area is designed for safety, with play equipment and animal sculptures scattered throughout.
■Horizon Balloon Ticket required, Premium Pass applicable. A ride-type attraction where you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the ground from a hot air balloon. Perfect for creating memories with your family.
■ The Junglia Splash Festival Premium Pass applies to an outdoor show and event using water. You may get soaked, so be sure to bring a change of clothes!
■ The Junglia Fireworks Premium Pass applies to A fireworks event held at night. The light and sound show will excite children.
■Tam Tam Tram: A tram that circles the park. It efficiently moves around the vast park, making it a great help for families with young children.
■Haisai Jan: A stage event where you move your body to the music. There are also times when you can dance with the dancers, making it an interactive and lively experience.
■Splash Battle: A water ride where you use water guns to aim at targets or battle other rides. Get ready to get soaked and have fun!
Point 3: Attractions with a height restriction of 95 cm or more
There are also plenty of attractions that children can enjoy as they grow. Once they reach a height of 95 cm, they can try the following attractions.
■Dinosaur Safari (ages 4 and up) Premium Pass applicable. Explore a jungle filled with life-size moving dinosaur robots on board a vehicle. This is a thrilling, hands-on attraction that dinosaur lovers will find irresistible.
■Tree Top Trekking (ticket required, Premium Pass applicable) – A course featuring suspension bridges and obstacle courses set up in the trees. While this course tests your physical abilities, it is equipped with specialized safety harnesses for a secure experience.
Please note that children under 10 years old must be accompanied by a guardian aged 16 or older when riding attractions. Guardians are encouraged to enjoy the experience alongside the children while ensuring their safety.
The following attractions offer the experience of flying through the air: “Sky Phoenix,” “Bungee Glider,” “Gravity Drop,” “Sky End Trekking,” and “Human Arrow.”
■ “Sky Phoenix” requires a ticket, Premium Pass applicable, children under 10 must be accompanied by someone over 18, skirts, sandals, and thick-soled shoes not allowed, under 120 kg, over 132 cm tall, until sunset, rain gear required in case of rain
■ “Bungee Glider” requires a ticket, Premium Pass applicable, suddenly loses the ground at a height of 20 meters above the ground, then bungee! Children under 10 must be accompanied by someone over 18. Skirts, sandals, and thick-soled shoes are not allowed, weight must be between 30kg and 120kg, height must be over 132cm, available until sunset, and rain gear is required in case of rain. Prior consent via app is required before the experience; parental consent is required for those under 18.
■ “Gravity Drop” requires a ticket and Premium Pass. Children under 10 must be accompanied by someone over 18. Skirts, sandals, and thick-soled shoes are not allowed. Glasses are not allowed. Weight must be between 30kg and 120kg. Height must be 132cm or taller. Available until sunset. In case of rain, a consent experience via the app is required before using rainwear. Parental consent is required for those under 18.
■ “Sky End Trekking” requires a ticket. Premium Pass applies. Children under 10 must be accompanied by someone over 18. Skirts, sandals, and thick-soled shoes are not allowed. The weight must be under 120 kg. Height must be over 150 cm. Available until sunset. Rain gear is required in case of rain. Prior consent via the app is required before use. Parental consent is required for those under 18.
■ “Human Arrow” requires a ticket. Premium Pass applies. Ages 12 and older, under 120 kg, height 132 cm or taller. Skirts, sandals, and thick-soled shoes are not permitted. Under 120 kg, height 150 cm or taller. Available until sunset. Rain gear is required in case of rain. Prior consent via the app is required. Parental consent is required for those under 18 years of age.
■ “Buggy Voltage (Fan Adventure Course)” Standby, Premium Pass applicable, (single-rider) 10 years or older, under 120 kg, height 132 cm or taller, (two-rider) 6 years or older, height 120 cm or taller, driver must have a valid driver’s license (including international licenses), rain gear required in case of rain, prior consent via app required before use
■ “Buggy Voltage (Adrenaline Challenge Course) Standby, Premium Pass applicable, (1-person) 10 years or older, under 120 kg, height 132 cm or above, (2-person) 6 years or older, height 120 cm or above, driver must have a valid driver’s license (including international licenses), if the passenger in the 2-person buggy is a minor, the driver must be a parent or guardian, rain gear required in case of rain, prior consent via the app is required before use
Other restrictions apply regardless of age: those with heart, blood pressure, neck, shoulder, or back issues, or those under the influence of alcohol.
