About a 19-minute drive from Naha Airport. This specialty coffee shop is located near Yogi Crossroads, a hub for trendy shops. In addition to coffees from Ethiopia, Brazil, and locally grown Okinawan beans, the shop is popular for its espresso tonics blended with essences of fruit, herbs, and other ingredients.

Point 1: rokkan COFFEE CREATORS’ Location

rokkan COFFEE CREATORS stands on Yogi Market Street, just a short distance from the bustle of Naha City. This specialty coffee shop blends seamlessly into the quiet shopping district.

While there is a second location in Shuri, like the first shop, it’s situated in a quiet, peaceful spot slightly removed from tourist areas, serving mainly as a place of relaxation for locals.

Located in Higawa 1-chome, Naha City, this spot offers a hidden gem vibe. Opening at 6:00 AM, it naturally draws both local coffee connoisseurs and tourists.

While it’s a bit of a walk from Kokusai Street or Makishi Station, it’s the perfect choice for those seeking a quiet start to their day.

It’s about a 19-minute drive from Naha Airport.

Getting there by bus is a bit tricky: first, take the Yui Rail to Makishi Station, then transfer to the Toyo Bus and get off at “Yogi Crossroads,” followed by a 2-minute walk.

Point 2: Rokkan COFFEE CREATORS’ signature menu items

When talking about this shop, you can’t miss their signature “Espresso Tonic.” Made with beans roasted in-house, it combines espresso, tonic water, and lime for a drink with a refreshing acidity, fizzy sensation, and perfectly balanced bitterness.

The distinct taste of espresso is present, yet passion fruit and rosemary notes linger on the palate afterward. These diverse flavors blend to create a captivating and exquisite taste.

Its effervescence and refreshing flavor make it especially popular in summer. The shop’s official SNS even posted, “We thought we might have to stop serving it due to the skyrocketing price of shikuwasa, but we made it through to the end of summer!”

Reviews on Tabelog also praise it, with comments like “Fruity and a completely new sensation” and “You could really taste the inherent fruitiness of the beans themselves.” Some reviews mention being skeptical at first but being pleasantly surprised after trying it.

Point 3: rokkan COFFEE CREATORS and Other Recommended Menu Items

Beyond the Espresso Tonic, we offer several specialty coffees from our own roastery. In addition to beans carefully selected from farms around the world, such as Brazil and Ethiopia, we also carry beans from Kume Island in Okinawa. You can enjoy drip coffee and cold brew that highlight the distinct characteristics of each.

Even if you’re not particularly knowledgeable about coffee and are unsure which to choose, the staff will kindly ask a couple of questions like “Do you add sugar or milk to your coffee?” or “Do you prefer acidic flavors?” and help you select from about eight different coffees.

Beyond coffee, the shop is also popular for pairing its light meals, like the owner’s signature cheese toast, offering a relaxing break for morning commuters or those working remotely.

The interior features a unified, minimalist industrial aesthetic with high ceilings and a spacious layout.

Counter seats offer a view of the roasting and brewing process, allowing you to experience the depth of coffee firsthand. They are meticulous about every detail, from bean selection to roasting profiles, pursuing a cup based on the concept of “rokkan” (sixth sense), aiming for “coffee that transcends the five senses.”

Even the shop name itself is quite charming. We highly recommend paying them a visit.
