About 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This is a secluded villa in Higashi Village, located on the Pacific side of northern Okinawa Island. Higashi Village boasts the largest mangrove forest in the prefecture and is a mecca for kayaking and trekking, where you can enjoy delicious pineapples and sea grapes. It’s popular with those seeking to connect with nature, yet much of its untouched wilderness remains.
Point 1: Pacific Coast of Okinawa Main Island! Where is Villa ‘Kaze’ located?

East Village, overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the eastern side of Okinawa Island, is an area where time flows gently, offering a different flavor from the bustling tourist spots along the west coast. Surrounded by largely untouched nature, it’s an environment where both the sea and mountains feel close at hand.
Home to the largest mangrove forest in the prefecture, it’s long been a beloved area for enthusiasts of kayaking and similar activities. It’s also famous for its delicious pineapples and sea grapes!
Nestled in this tranquil setting is the private villa ‘Kaze’, available for exclusive rental. Unlike urban resort hotels, here you can fully savor the quiet, the sense of openness, and the closeness to nature. While it may be a bit inconvenient as a base for sightseeing, this very fact allows for a special stay, free from crowds and noise.
From Naha Airport, it’s about 1 hour and 40 minutes by car via the Okinawa Expressway.
By bus: First, take Ryukyu Bus Route 120 to “Oonaka.” From there, transfer to Ryukyu Bus Route 67 (Hedoname Line), a 1-minute walk away, and get off at “Genka Iriguchi.” Then, board the Higashimura Bus from the Nago City Genka Iriguchi bus stop, a further 1-minute walk, and get off at Keisaji 6-ban. It’s a 1-minute walk from there.
The journey takes over 4 hours, which is quite a trip, but the sense of accomplishment upon arrival is truly remarkable.
Point 2: Spacious at 134㎡! Introducing the Villa ‘Kaze’ Room

The ‘Kaze’ building features stylish exposed concrete as its base. While this material can often appear inorganic, the interior is finished with warmth through the incorporation of wooden furniture and soft-toned fabrics.
It’s a space that balances sophistication and comfort, popular with female travelers and couples alike.

The spacious 134 sqm layout features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, offering ample room for larger groups. It’s perfect for families, group trips, or even two to three families traveling together. Each bedroom boasts large windows that let in plenty of natural light.
While the extensive glass walls create an exceptionally open feel, some guests might find it a bit too open. Closing the curtains ensures complete privacy.
However, due to its natural surroundings, insects may occasionally enter the rooms. Guests sensitive to insects may wish to bring insect repellent for peace of mind. This unique aspect of a “stay in harmony with nature” is part of the charm exclusive to this location.
Point 3: Villa ‘Kaze’ and Other Facilities

At ‘Kaze’, you can enjoy BBQ during your stay. BBQ equipment is provided free of charge, but you must bring your own charcoal, fire starters, and ingredients. A great perk is being able to BBQ wherever you like, whether in the garden or on the rooftop terrace.
The rooftop offers stargazing, so you can spend your days feeling the sea breeze and your nights chatting under a sky full of stars.
The fully equipped kitchen provides ample facilities for those who prefer to cook. We recommend sourcing fresh vegetables and seafood from local farmers’ markets to try your hand at authentic Okinawan dishes.
Furthermore, since nearby tourist spots and restaurants are limited, planning and stocking up on necessary ingredients and drinks before your stay is advisable. While convenience stores and supermarkets may be a few minutes’ drive away, this very inconvenience enhances the luxury of doing nothing.
‘Kaze’ is a villa designed not just for sightseeing, but for savoring the stay itself. Light streaming through the glass, sea breezes wafting through the garden, and stars painting the night sky. It’s a place to lose yourself, like Higashi Village, and enjoy moments that let you forget everyday life.
