About 90 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Nestled in the mountains of Nakijin Village in northern Okinawa Island, this is a feminine cafe. From popular pancakes to cafe menu items, everything looks irresistible! It’s a cafe filled with girls’ ideals and dreams.

Point 1: Where is the location of ‘Petit à Petit’ nestled in the nature-rich village of Nakijin?

Petit Ta Petit stands quietly in the mountains of Nakijin Village. Although you can see the ocean in the distance, it is located in the vast wilderness of Nakijin Village, making it difficult to access without a car.

Nakijin Village is famous for its jungle park, but keep in mind that Nakijin Village covers a vast area and is difficult to get around without a car.

From Naha Airport, it takes about 90 minutes by car via the Okinawa Expressway.

If you take the bus, first take the Okinawa Airport Shuttle OAS/RSL-RP to “Bise Fukugi Namiki Iriguchi” (Bise Fukugi Tree-lined Road Entrance), then walk 2 minutes to the Ryukyu Bus “Bise Iriguchi” (Bise Entrance) stop and take bus number 65, getting off at “Kanjii”. It’s a 15-minute walk from there.

Buses run about 2-3 times per hour, but it’s best to expect they won’t be as punctual as buses on the mainland.

At the end of your walk, you’ll find a cute little “hut” made of blocks and wood! Inside, wooden tables and chairs of various designs line the space, creating a charming café that feels like it stepped right out of a fairy tale. Your fatigue will likely vanish instantly.

Plus, the distant view of the “Nakijin Blue” sea is incredibly soothing. Just soaking in the cafe’s atmosphere will make you feel satisfied, thinking, “I’m so glad I came.”

Point 2: What are the recommended food items at ‘Petit à Petit’?

Petit à Petit opens a bit later, at 11:00 AM.

They don’t usually serve lunch, focusing mainly on pancakes, but on select days they offer special lunch items like omelet hayashi or the Tokachi pork plate. Check their Instagram for specific dates. (Reservations are possible on days lunch is served.)

For lunch, the popular choice is the familiar fluffy pancakes served with bacon, potatoes, salad, and other sides, which can also be a meal in itself!

This shop also has terrace seating with cute wooden chairs lined up. Eating while facing the emerald green sea of Nakijin Blue promises an exceptional taste experience.

Point 3: What are the recommended sweets at ‘Petit à Petit’?

The pancakes pictured are apple pie-style pancakes. Other options include tiramisu pancakes and strawberry pancakes with rich mascarpone cream—it’s not uncommon for discontinued menu items to make a comeback when guests request them!

This just goes to show how beloved ‘Petit à Petit’ is by so many guests.

Their shaved ice, called “Fluffy Snow,” is also popular! It comes in various flavors like chai milk, mango with chunks of strawberry, and passion fruit with yogurt.

It features finer, fluffier shavings than regular shaved ice, topped generously with fruits and nuts. (Available until around October)
