About 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This is a lodging located in the northeastern part of Sesoko Island, in the northern part of Okinawa Island. In these days when everything seems to be going private, maybe this kind of place is fun differently?! Whether you want to relax alone or hang out with friends in the shared lounge, both are totally fine!

Point 1: The Location of ‘The Inn’s Egg’

Sesoko Island is located in the northern part of Okinawa Island, accessible by crossing a bridge from Motobu Town. Located in the northeastern part of the island is the inn “Mosu no Tamago”. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is conveniently located as a base for sightseeing, accessible via an exhilarating drive along the coast.

A 12-minute walk from the inn is the exceptionally clear waters of Anchi Beach. With its white sand and emerald green sea, it’s a beach where you can relax, whether swimming or just strolling along the shore. At dusk, you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, making it the perfect spot to savor island time.

Sesoko Island is a small island that can be circled by car in about 20 minutes. Its rich nature and calm atmosphere are appealing, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Motobu Town is dotted with popular tourist attractions such as the Churaumi Aquarium and the Fukugi trees lining Bise Beach, so you can plan an active sightseeing itinerary based at the inn.

If arriving by bus, take the Naha Bus No. 117 directly to “Motobu Museum Mae,” though it’s a 32-minute walk from there. To avoid walking, take the same No. 117 bus and get off at “Motobu Port.” From there, it’s a 1-minute walk to the Ryukyu Bus No. 65. Ride this bus and get off at “Dai-ni Hamazaki,” which reduces the walking distance to 21 minutes.

Point 2: ‘The Inn’s Egg’ Room Introduction

Tamago Inn is a small lodging with just 11 rooms. The first floor has 3 single rooms, while the second floor has 8 twin rooms, allowing you to choose based on your travel style.

Single rooms are perfect for solo travelers or short stays. Each room features a bed, air conditioning, a TV, and a small desk, offering a compact yet comfortable space. While the shower and toilet are shared, this makes them reasonably priced, ideal for seasoned travelers or those seeking a casual stay.

Twin rooms feature tatami mats with futons laid out for sleeping. They accommodate up to 2-3 adults, or up to 3 elementary school children. While infants are not permitted, these rooms are ideal for family trips with older children or group trips with friends.

The style of laying out futons on tatami evokes a nostalgic feeling and offers the warmth characteristic of a traditional inn. Twin rooms also share showers, but they are kept clean and well-maintained.

Simple yet designed to preserve the essence of travel, these rooms provide the perfect environment to rest your weary body after a day of sightseeing.

The inn features a shared lounge where complimentary breakfast is served. Starting your travel mornings in this relaxed atmosphere is a delightful perk. Guests often strike up conversations naturally, making it a great place to enjoy new encounters and interactions.

Adjacent to the lounge is a terrace where you can enjoy barbecues. The usage fee is ¥2,000 per group, and you must bring your own ingredients. The experience of gathering fresh seafood, meat, and local vegetables yourself and grilling them over charcoal is truly special. A lively night under the stars with friends will surely become a memorable part of your journey.

The inn also features a fully equipped shared kitchen. This makes it very convenient for long stays or travelers looking to save on food costs, allowing for simple self-catering. Cooking ingredients purchased from Okinawan supermarkets or local markets let you enjoy a more authentic local experience.

All rooms come equipped with air conditioning, a TV, and a small desk, ensuring ample comfort. The inn successfully blends rustic charm with modern convenience.

Prices are also attractive, with singles costing just under ¥6,000 per person and twins just under ¥9,000 for two people. This affordable rate within Okinawa makes it ideal for student trips or extended stays.

While not a glamorous resort hotel, “Tabi-Yado Mosura no Tamago” is a place where you can truly connect with the island’s nature and people. Whether you prefer quiet solitude or mingling with friends in the lounge or terrace, this inn adapts to your travel style. It’s highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the simple charm of Sesoko Island.
