Bingata Kijimuna Studio is located in Nago City and offers Bingata making and selling.

Located about 2 hours from Naha Airport via expressway, visitors can make their own original Bingata and buy souvenirs on their way to the northern part of Japan.

The Bingata dyeing experience at the Bingata Kijimuna Studio can be reserved for elementary school students and older and can be visited by groups of adult travelers or school excursions to make your own original Bingata accessories.

Point 1: Limited to a small number of people, experience original Bingata dyeing.

At Bingata Kijimuna Studio, you can choose your favorite pattern from more than 50 different patterns such as Shisa and Hibiscus, and dye it in your favorite color to make your original Bingata accessories.

The experience menu includes eco-friendly tote bags that can be used as shopping companions, pouches for small items, and coasters. Visitors can also try their hand at Bingata dyeing using fabrics they have brought in.

The process takes about 40 minutes to 2 hours.

Reservations are required, and reservations can be made for elementary school students and older, so this is recommended for adult travelers.

Point 2: Selling goods and accessories produced in the workshop

Bingata Kijimuna Studio sells Bingata-dyed goods and accessories produced in the studio.

Bookmarks, tapestries, and stoles with motifs of Okinawan nature and scenery can be found in the store.

Visitors can stop by the sales space in the workshop after their Bingata dyeing experience, or purchase Bingata-dyed souvenirs, a traditional Okinawan craft, for friends and family when visiting the Churaumi Aquarium, Neo Park, or other places in the northern part of Okinawa. Also on site is Kotorin Chu, headed by Happy the Budgie, which sells original small bird sundries.

Point 3: 1-minute walk to the ocean, you can feel the Okinawan atmosphere.

Bingata Kijimuna Studio is located in Nago City in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island.

It takes about 2 hours from Naha Airport via expressway. If visiting by bus, take the Yanbaru Express Bus or Highway Bus, get off at the Nago Bus Terminal, and walk for about 13 minutes.

There is a natural beach just a minute’s walk from the workshop, and you can take a walk on the beach after experiencing Bingata dyeing at the workshop.
