LIBEURI KOURI RETREAT is a resort hotel located on Kouri Island in central Okinawa.
It is an hour and a half drive from Naha Airport. It is located in the northern part of Kouri Island.

Kouri Island is an island, but a connecting boat is not necessary. A bridge connects it to the main island of Okinawa, so access is really easy.
It is located in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, in an area called “Yanbaru,” yet it is only an hour and a half drive from Naha Airport.
Passing through unpaved rickety roads and sugarcane fields, and cutting through the wind that blows through the area, I wondered if this was really the right road to take. As you continue on your way, you suddenly come upon a chalk building.
LIBEURI KOURI RETREAT is located at a high elevation on Kouri Island, offering a 360-degree view of the ocean.
The rooms are limited to three, making it a hideaway resort!
It does not have the inorganic feel of a hotel, but rather feels as if you have been invited to the home of a friend who lives in a resort area.
The three rooms have different tastes and are named Mori, Umi, and Ishigaki, respectively. Each room has a large window, and although the ocean is right in front of you, each room is designed in a different style, so that you can feel the forest or the stone wall even though you are at a beach resort.
Each room also has a private garden terrace and roof terrace, so you can feel even closer to the wonderful nature.
You can truly RETREAT (heal and recover) your tired body from daily life.
Point 2: LIBEURI KOURI RETREAT and breakfast with local ingredients is amazing!
LIBEURI KOURI RETREAT does not offer dinner. That is a great disappointment, but we can recommend restaurants on Kouri Island.
Instead, the breakfast, which is made with plenty of local ingredients, is reputed to be delicious and of amazing volume.
It is not a buffet, but rather a style of serving food on plates that have been carefully selected.
For example, a salad is served with slices of tropical star fruit next to the vegetables, or half a papaya is served in a big bowl, and the color is beautifully arranged to give a tropical feel.
It is a relaxing breakfast experience that is different from the hurried eating at a buffet.
Point 3: LIBEURI KOURI RETREAT・The terrace where you can have Okinawa’s nature all to yourself is amazing!
LIBEURI KOURI RETREAT rooms have a private tsuboniwa-type garden terrace and a roof terrace directly above the room, literally on the “roof.
The garden terrace has chaise lounges and hammocks, so you can relax and feel the tropical breeze blowing through while looking at the ocean.
If you want to feel more tropical nature, go up to the roof terrace. Here, too, there are deck chairs and a 180-degree ocean view! You can enjoy the tropical sun, the magic hour of dusk, and the star-filled sky.
The dynamic sunsets that are different from those on the mainland and the star-filled sky of Okinawa that looks like a scattering of stardust will surely leave a lasting memory of your trip.
