About 60 minutes by car from Naha Airport. The resort is located in Uruma City on the east coast of Okinawa Island. There are cottage-type and garden-type rooms, and some rooms have canopy beds that can only be found overseas.
Opened in 1989. We recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a good old-fashioned, relaxing hotel like a beach resort in Southeast Asia.
Point 1: Coco Garden Resort, like an overseas beach resort! There is a canopy bed.
Canopy beds are a familiar sight in Bali and other parts of the world. In Japan, canopy beds are not so easy to find. But at Coco Garden Resort, canopy beds are available.
Of the eight room types available, only the Garden Deluxe Double and Cottage Double have canopy beds. The beds are made of ebony-like material reminiscent of the tropics, creating a relaxing atmosphere.
The furniture is also somewhat classic, carved with banana and palm leaf motifs, giving the rooms a quaint feel. It is as if they are preserving the good old resort, which is different from today’s resorts.
Ceiling fans slowly rotate on the ceiling, adding to the resort atmosphere.
Point 2: Coco Garden Resort and meals are renowned for their deliciousness.
Coco Garden Resort has a reputation for its delicious meals.
First of all, breakfast is more and more reminiscent of a Southeast Asian resort, with a standard buffet of Japanese and Western dishes, as well as porridge and pho. Of course, there is also a full selection of Okinawan dishes and fruits.
There is also a Chinese order buffet, in part to cater to customers from the Greater China region. Chinese food, which pursues the authentic taste of the real thing, is also worth eating.
Point 3: There is a direct bus service from Coco Garden Resort and Airport!
There is a direct bus service from Naha Airport to Coco Garden Resort’s affiliated hotel, Renaissance, for a fee of 1,200 yen. (However, this service is only available until September 30.)
If you cannot get a rental car or do not use a car, it may be convenient to remember that there is a direct bus service from the airport to the Renaissance. By the way, it costs about 7,000 yen from the airport to the hotel in Uruma City by cab.
Guests are required to make a reservation at least 5 days prior to their stay, and to provide a negative PCR test certificate or proof of the third vaccination.
From Renaissance to Coco Garden Resort, transfer to the shuttle bus, which takes 15 minutes.
