The resort is located at the northern end of Iriomote Island. It takes about 2.5 hours from Ishigaki Airport by bus and boat. Niraina Resort” is built in the midst of the great nature of Iriomote Island. 3 groups per day are limited, and you can enjoy the great nature in the atmosphere of a semi-private, good old-fashioned tropical resort.
Point 1: Fireflies come to play in the rooms at the Nilina Resort, which is full of nature!
There are a total of three rooms at Nilina Resort. They are a twin room with a Jacuzzi view, a double room with a terrace Jacuzzi, and a twin room with a terrace Jacuzzi. The double room has a romantic canopy bed.
Since this hotel is built in the jungle, fireflies sometimes come to visit. The fact that there are mosquito coils in the rooms means that many other friends come to visit.
If you are not a fan of mosquitoes, you might want to avoid this hotel for a bit.
The rooms are log house style, with woven coconut palm carpets, plaster-like white walls, and ceilings woven with wood vines or something. The ceiling is woven with wood vines or something. At night, the room looks like a tropical resort with indirect lighting. The owner is an interior designer by profession. It is no wonder he has good taste.
There is no TV in this hotel room.
When you step out onto the balcony, you can hear the rustling of palm leaves, the sound of insects, and the faint sound of waves. In the morning, you may wake up to the sound of birds singing, which is unheard in the mainland!
The internet is working, but it is ADSL. It is good for those who usually have trouble getting away from the digital world to try a digital detox here.
Also, people who usually don’t sleep well or have trouble sleeping are said to have a blast when they come here.
That’s how comfortable it is!
Point 2: Nilina Resort’s “all homemade” breakfast is the best!
Breakfast at the Nilina Resort is also excellent.
It is served on a plate, but Western and Japanese food is served daily.
For Western-style meals, everything from bread to jam and honey is handmade by the owner. Of course, breakfast is also served with fresh vegetables and fish from the island.
Tropical fruits such as passion fruit are also served!
Unfortunately, Nilaina Resort does not currently offer dinner, but the friendly owner will recommend a restaurant to you. They are also kind enough to provide transportation to and from those restaurants.
They used to serve Dutch oven food and other dishes for dinner, so we are hoping for an early revival after Corona is over.
Point 3: The in-room Jacuzzi at the Nilina Resort is the best!
All three rooms at the Nilaina Resort have a Jacuzzi.
Only one room has a Jacuzzi with a view, and it looks out over the ocean. However, since the view is a priority, it is not completely private. Therefore, swimsuits are required.
The other two rooms are terrace Jacuzzis, which are also located on the terrace where the tropical air blows through. All of the Jacuzzis are wild, built like piled up stone walls.
Also, the Jacuzzi is as big as a small swimming pool, so you can have the tropical Jacuzzi all to yourself!
Thus, “Niraina Resort” in Iriomote Island is a wild tropical resort with a Jacuzzi, with only 3 groups per day. All include breakfast, and the price varies about 4,000 yen between top season, high season, and shoulder season.
In off-season, you may be able to stay for about 10,000 yen per person including breakfast, so you might want to check it out.
