This is a very beautiful hole-in-the-wall beach, even though it is located right in the middle of the main island of Okinawa and close to the tourist attraction Manzakage! Although there are stores in the vicinity, the beach is natural and often not very crowded, so you can enjoy a lot of privacy!

Point 1: Diamond Beach is super clean even though it is near a tourist attraction!

Diamond Beach is located in Onna Village in the central part of Okinawa’s main island, about an hour’s drive from the airport. Onna Village is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Okinawa and attracts quite a few visitors.

You may wonder why there is a “hole-in-the-wall beach” in such a place. You may wonder, “Is there a “hole-in-the-wall beach” in such a place?

There are countless natural and man-made beaches in Okinawa, and Diamond Beach is a natural beach.

The clarity of water is so clear that just dipping your feet in the water is beautiful and impressive, but if you can, I recommend that you take a snorkel and go out to sea.

If the tide is low, the water is shallow, but there is a lot of coral and tropical fish like “Nemo”. The emerald-green ocean is very beautiful, and you can often feel a sense of freedom!

However, the tides are quite strong and there are no lifeguards, so life jackets are a must.

Please enjoy yourself at your own risk and be very careful.

Point 2: That “Gokashi-Goden” is also located near Diamond Beach!

Those who are a little familiar with Okinawa will immediately recognize this confectionery shop, famous for its “Beni Imo Tart,” which looks just like Shurijo Castle.

Diamond Beach is located behind “Gokashi-Goden Onna Store,” which has an impact with its entrance that looks just like Shurijo Castle.

First, pass through the laughably Shurijo-esque entrance gate, enter the Gokashi-Goden parking lot, and turn right, and you will soon come to the stairs leading to Diamond Beach. Then, go down the stairs to the bottom at the end of the archway marked “Beach Terrace Cafe” and turn left at the sign.

There you will find a beautiful beach that you would never expect to find behind such a popular pastry shop.

There are not many tourists there, and most of them are locals and foreigners, but the crowds seem to vary depending on the day. It seems that there are not so many people there.

However, if you park your car in the Gokashi-Goden parking lot for a long time and play on the beach, you may have your car towed!

Many people are allowed to use the restrooms and foot-washing facilities here but don’t leave them unused, and if possible, buy one of the souvenirs to take home with you.

Point 3: There are pancake shops and cafes near Diamond Beach!

Near Diamond Beach is the Diamond Beach Cafe, a 5-minute walk away, and the Hawaiian Pancake House Panilani, a 10-minute walk away.

Playing on the beach can be surprisingly thirsty and tiring.

We recommend that you refresh yourself with a sweet treat, a good cup of coffee, or a fresh juice while looking at the ocean after the beach.

You will feel a different kind of peacefulness than if you only visit tourist attractions!
