About 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Sam’s Sailor Inn is located in the middle of Kokusai Street. There are many steak restaurants in Okinawa, which has a culture of steak after drinking, but we would like to introduce a steak restaurant called “Sam’s Sailor Inn” which has a tropical atmosphere and is kind of unique. Let us introduce you to a steak restaurant called “Sam’s Sailor Inn,” which has a unique, tropical atmosphere.

Point 1: “Sam’s Sailor Inn” is a steak restaurant with a tropical mood!

Sam’s Sailor Inn. It has a unique appearance that resembles a ship.

You are probably well aware that Okinawa has a culture of “eating steak instead of finishing off” after drinking alcohol, right?

This culture was born because it used to be an American territory and delicious meat was available at a reasonable price.

Whenever I went to Okinawa, I always wanted to eat steak at least once at one of the restaurants back home.

I had a chance to stay right in the middle of Kokusai-dori and discovered that there was a “Sam’s Sailor Inn” near the hotel where I was staying!

I decided to head there immediately.

The exterior of the inn looks like a ship. When I entered the restaurant, I felt that it had a “Polynesian” atmosphere, not Okinawan style, even though it is tropical.

The background music was a bit nostalgic and Polynesian.

But when a customer comes in, all the staff shouts “Mensore! I felt like I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The female waitress is dressed in a sailor suit!

All the female waitresses were dressed in sailor suits, and some of them were foreigners.

There was a griddle in front of the seats, and the cook would come and grill vegetables and steaks right in front of you.

I ordered a course of A top quality tenderloin steak.

I decided to order the “100g top quality tenderloin steak (filet)” course.

Shrimp cocktail with blue liquid underneath and dry ice for presentation!

After a while, the “Shrimp Cocktail” was brought out. I wondered if there was dry ice underneath. The beautiful blue liquid and the smoke from the dry ice were somewhat mysterious.

Point 2: The cook’s performance at “Sam’s Sailor Inn” is fun!

The thick curry soup was brought to the table.

More curry soup, salad, and gi-marmi tofu were brought in, as well as bread soaked in a layer of butter.

Here comes the cook!

First he grilled the sky heart greens, onions, and other vegetables and then put them on the plate.

I had eaten stir-fried Chinese cabbage with garlic in Hong Kong and was opened to its deliciousness, but I felt it was somewhat Asian to add Chinese cabbage as a side dish. I think it is not used in mainland China.

The cook’s quick performance is enjoyable!

The cook then took out a thick tenderloin, cut it into cubes, and began to cook it on the grill in front of me.

When it came time to sprinkle pepper on the meat, he would spin and toss the pepper container! This was quite fun! The cook in charge of me performed the last trick of receiving the pepper container with his back hand, which was very difficult to do.

Point 3: How does a steak at Sam’s Sailor Inn taste?

How does the finest tenderloin steak taste?

So, what did the “Sam’s Sailor Inn” steak taste like, which was grilled by the cook with his best performance?

I had heard from a cab driver that Okinawan meat is tough, so I thought it might be so, but it was very juicy and delicious. 100 grams was all I ordered, but I could have had another 100 grams.

From the first shrimp cocktail to the curry soup, to the salad, to the gi-Marmi tofu for some reason, to the bread with butter on it, everything was delicious!

I guess 4,030 yen including tax for the finest tenderloin course is a super deal.

Today’s dinner was all paid for with a “National Travel Assistance” coupon. It was not available at other restaurants in the same Sam’s family, such as “Anchor Inn” on Kokusai-Dori, so we recommend that you check before using the coupon.
