If you don’t know where to go to hear them, I highly recommend you to go to a “shima-uta live” concert. You will sometimes see such a signboard when you walk around Naha City.

Point 2: What is the system of “Shima Uta Live Juri”?
There are three live stages every hour starting at 7:30 pm. I had the impression that there were more local regulars rather than tourists.
The “Shima Uta Live Juri” is a 2.3-minute walk from Kokusai-dori Street. I found it on my way to Tsuboya Yachimun Street.
At night, the restaurant is hung with atmospheric curtains and lanterns.

Around 7:30 p.m., when the customers were at their best after drinking and eating, the performers appeared on stage! The shima-uta starts amidst a huge ovation.
As the cheers from the customers grew louder, the performers also heated up! The live performance ends with everyone dancing the Kachaasi to great success. The power of Okinawa is truly amazing, as this kind of live performance is repeated every day!
Point 3: The food at “Shima Uta Live Juri” is also inexpensive and delicious!
Not only is the live music amazing, but the food is also delicious and reasonably priced! And since the portions are large, it is also suitable for those who want to eat with gusto!
For example, you can eat most of the staples of Okinawan cuisines, such as bitter melon stir-fry, Mozuku tempura, Mimiga chips, sickly fried pork, carrot shish-rips, etc., for about 480 to 780 yen. Even wagyu beef steak is only 1,800 yen!
For 3,000 yen per person, you can drink to your heart’s content, eat to your heart’s content, and enjoy a live performance, so a night in Naha can only be spent at Shima Uta Live!
