About 10 minute drive from Naha Airport. Shisa Kobo Fukushi is a pottery store located in Tsuboya, Naha City. As the name suggests, the shop sells many Shisa ceramics, and you can even try your hand at painting a Shisa. It is also a place where you can find great Yachimuns at reasonable prices!

Point 1: “Shisa Kobo Fukushi” Peace Street entrance store is a rare place to find “blue plates” at a reasonable price!

The word “fuki” in Shisa Kobo Fuki is a difficult kanji character, but it means “not bound by anything” or “to be free.

There seems to be another branch at the entrance of Peace Street in addition to this Tsuboya.

The name of the store makes you think that it is a store that deals only with shisa. At first, I saw a sign that said “Shisa painting experience” and passed it by, but when I found a “blue plate” in the storefront that looked like the Okinawan sea, my eyes were drawn to it. The blue cups on it are also wonderful!

Not only the blue plates in the store, but also the inside of the store was full of reasonably priced and wonderful Yachimun! I regretted not having gone through the store. You should not judge a yachimun shop by its storefront!

Is this store inexpensive because it is a “kiln-direct store”? I found blue plates of this size at another yachimun store with a nice appearance, but they were more expensive.

I think that Fukki Shisa Kobo is a rare yachimun store where you can find modern blue plates at reasonable prices!

Like the Tsuboya Pottery Cooperative I introduced earlier, places that don’t spend much money on their exteriors may be a good place to find nice yachimun.

Point 2: At the Peace Street entrance branch of “Shisa Kobo Fuki,” visitors can try their hand at painting at a reasonable price!

At Shisa Kobo Shisa Kobo Fuki, you can try your hand at painting Shisa for a reasonable price. The price ranges from 1,500 yen to 3,000 yen, and you also receive a 10% discount on all merchandise in the store.

The painted Shisa will be mailed to you at a later date. The result is an unexpectedly powerful, wild, and realistic Shisa that is very popular.

Point 3: Note that there are two “Shisa Kobo Fukushi” stores!

The red signboard “Shisa Kobo Fukushi” has this Peace Street store just before entering Yachimun Street on a pathway paved with white coral. There is another store after entering Yachimun Street, so please do not make a mistake!

Although they are part of the same family, the Yachimun Street store seems to have more Seasar.

If you are looking for blue plates, please go to the “Peace Street Store”.
