About an hour and 46 minutes drive from Naha Airport, this is the ultimate all-luxury suite nestled in the mountains of Nakijin Village, opened in July 2015. The price is super, 120,000 at its cheapest, but even a one-night stay is likely to be quite satisfying. If you are looking to detox your mind in Okinawa, this is the hotel to stay at.

Point 1: Only 11 houses on a large site! What is the outline of the “MAGACHABARU OKINAWA” Super Resort?

Okinawa is one of the most popular resort destinations in Japan, and every year more and more wonderful resorts are being built, finally creating the ultimate resort that is as good as any overseas resort.

The name “MAGACHABARU OKINAWA,” located in the deep greenery of Nakijin Village, about an hour and a half drive from Naha Airport, comes from “Kyokuchabaru,” where tea leaves for the World Heritage “Nakijin Castle” were grown.

The concept of this all-luxury suite is “the only resort like nowhere else,” with only 11 buildings on a 207,000 m2 (4.5 times the size of the Tokyo Dome) site.

It is a space for adults to enjoy the resort to the fullest while ensuring a sense of privacy in the lush Yanbaru forest.

First of all, there are one- and two-bedroom suites ranging in size from 135 to 175 square meters (exclusive area of 500 square meters), with cool, concrete-faced interiors. However, the interiors are also nice, with a moderate subtropical resort feel.

All rooms have private pools (heated in winter), mini-kitchens, and laundry facilities. Drinks in the refrigerator are free, including Orion beer, cola, and champagne.

The only thing you have to do is move from your room to the restaurant, but you can be picked up and dropped off by cart for transportation around the property. Everything is very well taken care of.

Point 2: The bathrooms at “MAGACHABARU OKINAWA” are amazing!

Of course, “MAGACHABARU OKINAWA” has a private bathroom, but this is a space that can be appropriately called a “living bathroom” with 32㎡ (18 tatami mats).

The space with a simple bathtub placed in the spacious living room is very picturesque. Magachabaru Okinawa” will provide you with an extraordinary scene that cannot be imitated by other hotels.

Point 3: The restaurant at “MAGACHABARU OKINAWA” is amazing!

MAGACHABARU OKINAWA” has a restaurant serving Japanese-Ryukyuan cuisine in a separate building. Breakfast and dinner are served, and one of the fun parts of the day is riding the cart to the restaurant.

This restaurant is only available to guests, so there is no outside use and the atmosphere is relaxed. The large windows offer a view of the natural beauty of Hanbaru.

Breakfast is a set menu with a choice of Western or Japanese Ryukyu breakfast. Using local ingredients such as island pork, island rakkyo, gurukun, bitter gourd, and acerola, the breakfast is like a work of art, beautifully presented.

For dinner, guests can choose between a grilled Japanese black beef dinner or BBQ (minimum of two people), which is also beautifully prepared with carefully selected local ingredients.

The BBQ dinner is especially recommended as the quantity is more than you can eat and the quality of the ingredients is excellent!
