La Casita Kouri Island is about 1 hour and 38 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Located on Kouri Island in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, the villa is limited to only one couple per day. What is it about the villa’s visual appeal that makes you want to go back even before you have a chance to visit?
Point 1: Only one couple per day! The private atmosphere of “La Casita Kouri Island” is amazing!
Kouri Island is a remote island about an hour and a half drive from Naha Airport. La Casita Kourijima is a resort located in the northern part of the island, a 5-minute walk from the famous Heart Rock.
Although this location is visited by many tourists, La Casita Kouri Island offers a private stay without the hustle and bustle.
This is because it is located in the middle of nature, slightly off the beaten tourist track, and only takes reservations for “one group per day.
At first glance, it appears to be a single-story house, but it is a two-story building utilizing a slope, with the restaurant on the first floor and the 56-square-meter guest rooms on the second floor.
The spacious room, characterized by large arched beams separating the living room from the bedroom, has all-glass windows that flood the room with natural light. Outside the window is the East China Sea.
Ryukyu glass, Bingata, and sensor are tastefully arranged in the room, which is lavishly furnished with high-quality building materials such as Okinawa plaster walls and ceiling with good texture, teak wood floors and furniture, coconut wood, and sea glass.
Point 2: Does “La Casita Kouri Island” have two large terraces?
And even larger than the 62 square meter room is the terrace.
There are two terraces, one on the ocean side and the other on the mountainside, each with a different view.
The ocean-side terrace has a Jacuzzi where you can relax and enjoy the view of the East China Sea which whales visit in winter. The mountainside terrace has rattan tables and deck chairs like those in Asian resorts, where you can feel tropical flowers and the breath of nature.
At night, you can enjoy the beauty of the stars as only a remote island can.
If the weather is fine, you can see the Milky Way and shooting stars all year round. Feel the nature that only a tropical island can offer.
Point 3: Enjoy breakfast at La Casita Kouri Island.
Breakfast at La Casita Kouri Island is not a buffet breakfast. The owner personally purchases and prepares breakfast using locally grown ingredients, down to wheat and salt.
Breakfast made with fresh ingredients is served on Okinawan glass and Yachimun dishes selected by the owner.
The owner uses a mix of traditional and innovative dishes that show off his good taste, and it is surprising to see how perfectly they match the colors and forms of the dishes.
What’s more, this breakfast is brought to your room at the time of your choice between 7:00 and 9:00 AM.
In large hotels, buffet style is the norm, and it is not easy to “enjoy” breakfast, is it?
Here, everything is as you wish. The charm of this hotel is that you can enjoy even a single breakfast.
