About 90 minutes by car from Naha Airport. It is a cottage-type villa built on a small hill on Kouri Island. The villa has an image of being expensive, but it is surprisingly reasonable! All rooms have ocean views and each room is equipped with a BBQ grill, making it a very cozy place to stay!!
Point 1: “One Suite THE TERRACE” is something cozy!
Kouri Island, located in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, is called “Lovers’ Island” because of its heart rock and many stylish cottages.
One Suite THE TERRACE” is a nine-room cottage that opened in April 2019, and stands on a hill just up from where you cross the Kouri Ohashi Bridge, so you can enjoy views of both the beautiful emerald green ocean and the Kouri Ohashi Bridge.
All of the cottages have ocean views, and since each cottage is independent of the others, you can enjoy a sense of privacy!
There are three types of cottages (A to C) with slightly different sizes and layouts, ranging from 50 to 58 square meters. All rooms have ocean views, so the scenery is almost the same.
In addition to the bedrooms, there is a living room, and on sunny days, you can have breakfast on the terrace (you can choose to eat in the room or on the terrace), which gives a different feeling of openness.
There is also a kitchen, a canopy bed (type B), and a coffee maker where you can grind your coffee from beans, which is something of a surprise.
Also, you can choose from 6 different kinds of bath salts, and the welcome drink is delicious, which is a casual but nice touch!
Point 2: “One Suite THE TERRACE” French toast is excellent!
Breakfast at “One Suite THE TERRACE” is not a buffet, but is brought to your room.
The chef’s special French toast is the main dish, and there is a salad, milk, fruit, juice, and other hearty items.
Moreover, if you choose to eat on the large terrace on a sunny day, they will even set it up for you, giving you a great sense of privacy!
While few hotels allow you to eat in your room, this is a rare find!
Point 3: Choice of dinner at “One Suite THE TERRACE”!
At One Suite THE TERRACE, you can choose either shabu-shabu or BBQ for dinner. Both are so popular that some guests say they wish they could have stayed for one more night and had both.
The shabu-shabu is a sumptuous dish using Agu pork and fresh prefectural vegetables. And for BBQ, enjoy the prefecture’s seafood and meats on the grill provided on the terrace of your room with the beautiful Kouri Island sunset in the background.
Both can be eaten in the room and are especially recommended for those who value a sense of privacy.
