Point 1: What is the outline of “Tamaru Camping Okinawa”?
When the cherry blossoms start blooming in Okinawa, you will probably start to feel the desire to go camping.
Tamaru Camping Okinawa” is located 15 minutes by car from Churaumi Aquarium and about 30 minutes from Nago Pineapple Park, and is a campground with accommodations for large American-made trailers.
Large trailers line the spacious grounds, and each trailer can accommodate up to eight people.
In addition to the trailer houses, the camp site has an administration building, a rest area that can be used as a banquet hall, a garden where campfires are held at night, and an event building where a beer garden is held in the summer.
The administration building also has a store and vending machines that are open until 10:00 p.m., making it convenient if you need something in case you run out of something.
Point 2: What is inside the luxurious trailer of “Tamaru Camping Okinawa”?
The large trailer of “Tamaru Camping Okinawa” is larger than expected, measuring 11m in length x 3.5m in height, and is equipped with a queen bed (for 3 people), a single bed (bunk bed type, for 3 people), a sofa bed (for 2 people), and a table bed (for 1 person). The room can accommodate up to 8 people.
There is also a living room with sofa and table, kitchen, and bathroom, so you can have an extraordinary experience with all the conveniences of home.
And while insects are a concern when camping in Okinawa, they are not a problem with trailers.
Up to three cars can be parked per site, so you can stay with your close family members. Dogs and cats can stay for 2,000 yen each, so it is also nice to be able to stay with your precious pets!
Point 3: What about BBQ at “Tamaru Camping Okinawa”?
At Tamaru Camping Okinawa, grill rental is available for a fee of 2,000 yen, but the trailer kitchen is equipped with plates, cups, glasses, frying pans, one-handed pans, kitchen scissors, and tongs, so BBQ is possible by bringing your food or ordering it on site.
The most luxurious BBQ food you can order on site is the 4,300 yen set for two, which includes beef loin, boneless ribs, Agu belly, yakitori, handmade Agu wiener, yakisoba, and vegetables. If you are not picky, there is a set for 2,500 yen, which is quite a large portion, so I think it is reasonable.
However, for some reason, there is no cutting board, so you may want to prepare a simple cutting board.
The trailer house has a terrace that can be attached to the side of the house, so you can BBQ there without worrying about other families, but for the more socially inclined, you can also look forward to the campfire that takes place every night.
You can meet other families around the campfire, roast marshmallows, and enjoy fireworks together while the campfire burns in the jet-black night sky.
