The word “mui” in “mui Tabito Kaze no Utsuwa” comes from the Japanese word “mui,” which means “without action, naturally. The concept of “mui” is to create a memorable place where people can let their thoughts and actions come naturally, just like water changes its shape when it hits something hard, or like the cry of a newborn baby.

mui Tabito Kaze no Utsuwa” has four independent rooms of 43~46 sq. meters. Each room is a maisonette type.
All rooms have the same layout, but the view of the garden from the room is slightly different.
They do not have the functional services of larger hotels, nor do they have disposable amenities such as toothbrushes, combs, shower caps, and shaving razors.
There are also no pajamas or linen changes due to environmental considerations, but they can be accommodated for longer stays.

The architecture of mui Tabito Kaze no Utsuwa is a simple white and solid wood construction by a local architect. Furniture and furnishings are also made with a focus on the warmth of white and wood.
The kitchen, with its Ryukyu limestone top, is beautifully decorated with simple tableware by Nakamurakenoshigoto, another local ceramic artist.
The interior design and furnishings include a skylight, a Goemon-style bathtub, a feather quilt adjusted to the Okinawan climate, and soft double gauze sheets made of 100% cotton using the traditional “Japanese bleaching” method!
