About 35 minutes drive from Naha Airport. The villa is located on the edge of Nanjo City. It is a recommended place to relax and enjoy the scenery in a private space on one of the few pieces of land where you can sleep and eat with the land and nature of Okinawa. There are many unique gourmet restaurants.
Point 1: What is the outline of the stylish hut “Villa Sachibaru”?
Villa Sachibaru” is located on a small hill in Nanjo City and has three villas: Hantanui, Jihakaya, and Neekaya. The villas range in size from 54.95 to 64 square meters. The villas are all available for rent as a single building.
The “huts,” which are a bit stylish with wooden exterior walls, are priced from 41,800 yen to 49,500 yen. The largest room has a capacity for three adults.
Standing in the middle of the room, you can see the emerald-green ocean at eye level! The room has a wide window and a very nice atmosphere with a natural taste interior and aroma.
The room is equipped with Wi-Fi wireless LAN, a washing machine, refrigerator, hair dryer, and other home appliances, as well as a microwave oven, induction heater, rice cooker, and other cooking appliances, and the usual amenities such as towels, body soap, and shampoo.
Breakfast at the affiliated “Hamabe no Chaya” is included in the price.
Have you noticed that the names of the villas are a bit unusual?
They are all “house names” in the Okinawan language. For example, “Jeehakaya” means “one who measures the ground,” indicating that the owner is a surveyor.
In Nanjo City on the outskirts of Okinawa, there is still a custom of calling each other by a house name instead of a family name. It is a nice touch of Okinawan culture to have a house name for a villa!
Point 2: The abundance of activities at “Villa Sachibaru” is amazing.
While staying at Villa Sachibaru is a great way to relax in the villa, it is also a great place to enjoy nature, so we recommend that you take a walk in the surrounding area and do some light exercise.
There are a variety of activities at the villa, such as yoga in nature, star gazing on the terrace, or trekking from the beach to a small hill in the nature-rich “Sachibaru Garden,” where you can meet various rare Okinawan creatures and plants in each season.
Relaxation treatments at AMAMIKIYO, an affiliated facility, are also recommended, although there is a fee for this service.
Using Okinawan herbs such as shell ginger, mugwort, and Sasigusa, you can soak in a footbath with a cup of hibiscus tea, or enjoy a treatment using herb balls and warmed Takara shells, which will enhance your relaxation.
The price is 12,000 yen for a 90-minute body treatment, which is not so expensive compared to hotel spas.
In this way, Villa Sachibaru offers activities that allow you to experience nature in a way that is different from that of a large hotel!
The inn’s signature cat is also watching over the activities.
Point 3: The “beach teahouse” affiliated with “Villa Sachibaru” is lovely!
Breakfast at Villa Sachibaru is served at the affiliated “Hamabe no Teahouse,” a one-minute walk from the villa.
Sitting at the counter overlooking the ocean, you will be served a “morning plate” (880 yen) consisting of a salad with sea grapes, two kinds of homemade toast, sausage, yogurt, boiled egg, and tropical fruits.
Eating breakfast in a semi-open-air space while looking out at the emerald green sea is a pleasant experience!
The café also has a tempting menu for lunch, including “Brown Sugar and Kinako Chiffon Cake” (440 yen) and “Hibiscus and Passion Fruit Separate Tea” (605 yen), whose beautiful colors are so Instagram-worthy that you will want to stop by even after checking out.
Since it is most popular and always fully booked, we recommend getting there early for lunch.
