Approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This Japanese-style hotel is located in Nakijin, northern part of Okinawa’s main island. Point 1: What is the outline of “Tabino-no-tei Okinawa Nakijin”?
Tabino-no-tei Okinawa Nakijin” is located in a corner of a village called “Imadomari” in Nakijin, a northern part of Okinawa’s main island, 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Naha Airport, where the original landscape of Okinawa still remains.
The ruins of Nakijin Castle and Churaumi Aquarium are nearby, and although the area is dotted with villas, there is no view of the villas next door, but only of the red-tiled village nestled in a field. Looking into the distance, one can see the emerald green sea!
This is one of a number of cottages operated by a company called “Tabi-no-Eya” in Okinawa, Miyagi, and Kanagawa.
Ten red-tiled traditional Okinawan houses stand in a row, but these are not renovated old houses, but built in the style of traditional houses. The inside is modern, air-conditioned, and has wireless Wi-Fi.
The size of the room is 58 square meters. The fittings are made of lots of wood and Ryukyu tatami mats. There are no beds; you sleep on a futon.
In Okinawa, where most hotels have beds and are Western-style, sleeping on a futon is an unusual experience in itself.
If you have small children, it may be more convenient to sleep on a tatami mat, so we highly recommend this option.
Meals are not included, but you can buy food on your way here and cook BBQ or other dishes for dinner, or you can take out from a deli or other restaurants.
For breakfast, there are stylish cafes a short walk away, or you can order breakfast delivery of delicious pork eggs, taco rice, chicken over rice, etc. for 1,500 yen.
Point 2: “Tabino-no-tei Okinawa Nakijin” A 3-minute walk to the beach is recommended!
There are no stores around Tabino-no-tei Okinawa Nakijin, so we recommend that you go to supermarkets in Motobu-cho or Nago for groceries. Both can be reached in about 10 minutes by car.
Also, as the area is rich, a walk in the vicinity is recommended.
In particular, a 3-minute walk will take you to the beach, which is a beautiful sandy beach but not very crowded, making it almost a private beach. Also, if you go in the evening, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset. The dynamic tropical sunset is sure to leave a lasting memory.
There are several other beautiful beaches in the area, so it would be interesting to try a beach-hopping tour.
You can also apply for clear kayaking, SUP, or cruising from the East Village at the inn, so if you are interested, you can try it.
Point 3: BBQ sets can be rented at Tabino-tei Okinawa Nakijin!
Tabino-no-tei Okinawa Nakijin” has a kitchen with more than enough cooking appliances and utensils, and BBQ equipment can be rented.
BBQ equipment is available for 3,300 yen per set. Food sets are 2,800 yen per person for A set (beef ribeye, pork, chicken) and 3,800 yen per person for B set (Agu pork main).
Nakijin nights are jet black and the stars are beautiful, so you can enjoy BBQ while watching the star-filled sky! Just be careful of insects and hubbies.
