One Suite THE GRAND is a resort hotel standing on top of Kouri Island in northern Okinawa.
It is located about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Naha Airport by rental car.
Kouri Island is crowded with tourists as there are many famous sightseeing spots such as Heart Rock and Nakijin Castle and fashionable cafes, but One Suite THE GRAND, which stands on a hill, is very quiet, partly because it is located near the top of the island. It is a gorgeous resort hotel where you can spend a moment of elegance.
Opened in July 2021, it is a relatively new hotel, with beautiful facilities and amenities, making it the perfect choice for couples traveling to Okinawa with its location and atmosphere.
Point 1: All 22 rooms have ocean views and are open to the public.
There are 22 rooms in total: 16 Ocean Front, 3 Premium Ocean View, 2 Ocean View Garden Suites, and 1 Ocean View Panorama Suite.
The Ocean Front is the standard room that is closest to the ocean and has a very beautiful view of the ocean, and the main difference is that the Premium Ocean View not only has the ocean in front of it, but also has a view of the infinity pool, the ability to come and go, and the addition of an outdoor Jacuzzi.
The Ocean View Garden Suite is a larger room with 60 square meters and a large garden with a sofa and Jacuzzi for a more elegant moment. The Ocean View Panorama Suite is a luxurious room with a gorgeous living room with glass walls and an outdoor Jacuzzi where you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the ocean.
Point 2: Artistic cuisine at La BOMBANCE Kouri Island
One Suite THE GRAND’s restaurant is the Kourijima branch of La BoMBANCE, which has its main restaurant in Nishiazabu, Tokyo. You can enjoy artistic and creative Japanese cuisine at this Michelin-starred restaurant.
The cuisine is characterized by an exotic atmosphere with a slightly tropical twist, using an abundance of local ingredients such as umi budou (sea grapes), beni imo (red potatoes), and shirasu (baby sardines), all of which are unique to Okinawa.
As it is a creative Japanese cuisine, there is also a wide selection of sake. Desserts can be eaten on the terrace, and if the time is right, you can take a break and enjoy dessert while watching the beautiful orange sunset of Okinawa.
Breakfast is available in Japanese or Western style. The freshly squeezed orange juice is especially delicious.
Point 3: The infinity pool makes you feel open!
An infinity pool measuring 17.4 meters in length and 7 meters in width is provided outside the hotel, and guests can enjoy the sense of openness while relaxing on a bed by the pool.
The infinity pool, the ocean, and the sky seem to be connected, especially from the beds that look directly out to sea. The pool is open until 9:00 p.m., so watching the Okinawan sunset from here is also an exciting experience. It is also a great place for couples to enjoy a drink while gazing at the unique Okinawan starry sky together.
