One hour and 18 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This shaved ice shop is located in Onna-no-Eki, a roadside station in Onna Village. The shaved ice named “Ice Mountain” is a must-try! Smoothies and mango desserts are also excellent!
Point 1: Ryu Bing’s specialty is “ice mountain” (shaved ice).
Onna-no-eki” is a roadside station in Onna Village where many people stop by on their trips to Okinawa. Ryubing” is located in a corner of the Onna-no-eki, and the tropical style of the restaurant, with its palm leaf decorated counter only, is unintentionally exciting.
The “Onna-no-eki” (women’s station) has about 10 restaurants and stores as “Nakayukui Market” (meaning “rest” or “break”), but the longest line is here, and it is also rumored to be the “Ramen Jiro of the shaved ice world”.
With all the trendy desserts available in Okinawa these days, have you forgotten about shaved ice, an ancient Japanese dessert that you crave when the weather gets hot?
Fashionable desserts are fine, but when the temperature rises, it is the shaved ice that I find myself craving.
Here at Ryu Bing, they call their shaved ice “Ice Mountain.
As the name implies, the shaved ice is filled with fruit pulp and juice, and is so big that it will make your eyes water! Prices vary depending on the type of fruit, ranging from 1,200 to 1,480 yen.
Examples from the menu include “Mango & Passion” (1,700 yen), which is shaved ice topped with mango pulp and passion fruit juice, and “Mango Mountain” (2,180 yen), which uses high quality Okinawan mangoes (mango, pineapple and passion fruit). Tropical Fruit” (1,380 yen), with mango, pineapple, and passion fruit “all on top”, is popular.
The “family size” is enough for several people to share, so if you are confident in your ability to fight the headache, by all means, give it a try.
Point 2: What else is on the menu at Ryu Bing?
Ryu Bing” also offers other menu items in addition to shaved ice.
The menu also includes “Beni-imo & Kuromitsu & Kinako Zenzai” (890 yen), an arrangement of the unique Okinawan dessert “Zenzai”, and the colorful “Beni Imo Jimami Zenzai” (850 yen), which is both a little more generous and less expensive!
Other unusual Okinawan items include a mango smoothie (780 yen), “kabocha juice” made from Okinawan native oranges (400 yen), and brown sugar-flavored cereal Zenzai (480 yen)!
Most people will probably go for Ice Mountain, but if you’ve already had it many times, you should try the others!

Ryukyu Meikyu Sanya Honpo, famous for its sataa andagi specialty, offers eight types of sataa andagi, including plain, brown sugar, red sweet potato, and banana.
The Ryukyu Sanya Balls made with tapioca flour are also popular as a chunky sata andagui, and the one with red sweet potato starch is a limited item available only here and is inevitably sold out!
Curry Savila’s Navi Plate (980 yen) and Jumiya Foods’ Okinawa fish cakes (250-350 yen) with juicy, cheese, sausage, etc. inside are so delicious that no matter how many you have, you will never have enough!
