It takes about one hour by car from Naha Airport. There are two condominiums, Morimar Resort Hotel and Beach Resort Morimar. The emerald green ocean stretches out before your eyes, and even though it is on the main island of Okinawa, the clarity of the water is amazing! You can enjoy the beach to the fullest.
Point 1: “Morimar Resort Hotel Beach” hotel is a retro old resort apartment!
It takes about one hour by car from Naha Airport. In front of “Morimar Resort Hotel Beach” are two buildings, a resort hotel and a condominium.
Both buildings are old, but they have been beautifully renovated, especially the annex, “Beach Resort Morimar,” which is a condominium equipped with resort-style specifications and a nice modern interior!
Okinawa has long been famous as one of Japan’s leading resort areas, and many resort condominiums must have been built during the bubble period.
Many of those resort condominiums are now being converted into condominiums.
The price is reasonable (about 18,000 yen) and can accommodate up to 6 people, with 3 bedrooms and 90 square meters in size. And the balcony is large, with a full ocean view! It is the best in terms of cost performance!
Point 2: Are there any activities at “Morimar Resort Hotel Beach”?
Morimar Resort Hotel Beach” has emerald green ocean right in front of the hotel. Even though it is located in the central part of the main island of Okinawa, the water is quite clear.
There is no way to avoid swimming in such a sea.
You can bring your own snorkeling gear and floatation rings, but it would be better if you could rent them! If you are looking for a place to go snorkeling, there is a good news for you.
Morimar Resort Hotel also offers diving, snorkeling, and remote island tours and activities, though not all of them are available.
The beach is not so crowded to begin with, so you can enjoy the activities in a relaxed atmosphere.
Point 3: Places to see and eat around “Morimar Resort Hotel Beach”.
Near “Morimar Resort Hotel Beach” is a seafood restaurant called “Fisherman’s Wharf” where you can enjoy American-style BBQ.
There used to be terrace seating, but it seems to have been moved to the first floor of the hotel. However, you can still enjoy the full ocean view.
Here, you can enjoy steaks, lobster grill, steak & lobster combination, paella, etc.
Steak regular size (200g) is reasonably priced at 2,450 yen, and you can enjoy a relaxing meal while watching the dynamic sunset!
I would like to go to the hottest restaurant, but I prefer to enjoy myself in a relaxed atmosphere! I also recommend it to those who don’t like waiting in line!
For other gourmet options, we recommend visiting the Yomitan Farmers Market Yunta Market, an 8-minute drive away, where you can buy a boxed lunch for only one coin, or two mangoes for about 1,000 yen each!
