Located in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, it is about an hour’s drive from Naha Airport. The beach is easily accessible and offers a wide variety of rentals and activities. Rare activities such as flyboarding, SUP, and marine walking are also available.
Point 1: What is the location and accessibility of “Koki Beach”?
When you think of the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, don’t you have an image that it is far away?
Koki Beach” is located in Nago City in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, but it takes only one hour by car from Naha Airport via National Routes 58 and 330.
By bus, it takes 2 hours without transfers if you take the Yanbaru Express Bus. There is a bus stop called Sefukyeong, a 2-minute walk from the beach.
The beach itself is a beautiful 900-meter-long arc of white sand, giving it a tropical Okinawan feel.
The beach is managed by the town, and rentals and activities are operated by a company that owns a nearby hotel, but if you use that company, you can use the changing rooms, toilets, and showers for free.
Point 2: What kind of activities are available at “Kohki Beach”?
There are a variety of activities available at Kohki Beach.
The “Marine Club Berry,” which is located in the “Best Western Koki Beach” hotel, handles the registration and rental of equipment for the activities.
There are many kinds of activities available, from the standard banana boat and tubing to parasailing, kayaking, experience diving, flyboarding, SUP, and marine walking.
Especially, diving, kayaking, and flyboarding are not available everywhere, so just knowing that you can experience them here at Kohki Beach will make your trip much more enjoyable!
Furthermore, by using the “Marine Club Berry,” which is the reception desk for the activities and offers rentals, you can also use the changing rooms, showers, and restrooms!
Point 3: What are the highlights around “Kohki Beach”?

Koki Beach” is located at the entrance to Yanbaru in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, so there are many places to visit, such as going further north to experience the wild atmosphere, or going a little south and stopping by Onna Village with its fashionable restaurants.
As for sightseeing facilities, Michi no Eki Kusuda (9 minutes by car) and Busena Underwater Park (4 minutes by car) are recommended. Roadside Station Kusuda sells specialty fruits at reasonable prices, and local delivery is available.
For gourmet food, we recommend “Churahana Villa,” located 1 minute away by car, which has a good reputation for its Chanpuru, and “Colomban,” a restaurant with a retro atmosphere and a long-standing reputation for its lobster.
Kohki Beach” is also a great place to enjoy after-beach activities.
