On the way there, you will see a fashionable gaijin residence up a narrow and steep hill that makes you wonder if your car can climb it, and your tension will be at its maximum!
Although I thought it was a trendy gaijin housing café with a targeted look, the atmosphere was so good that I couldn’t help but be sucked into the store.
The handwritten vertical “Rainy Day Lion” sign is also a nice, lurid touch. The store is not only cute but also has a mature, mischievous atmosphere.

The “Rainy Day Lion” offers Keema Curry, Tandoori Chicken, and the signature “White Omelet Rice” (1,250 yen) with Gorgonzola and fresh cream sauce, as well as “Lion’s Lunch” for lunch (1,500 yen).
The restaurant also sells a variety of colorful-looking fruit sandwiches, chocolate cakes, and cheesecakes (400-500 yen), which are also excellent!

The “Rainy Day Lion” offers three private coffee rooms for one person, called “One-person Coffee Rooms.
It is a private room in a foreigner’s residence, but inside there are antique desks, white painted chairs, stands, bookshelves, etc., and you can eat in the space.
One room must be about 6 tatami mats in size. It is quite spacious.
Outside the antique window frames, you can look down on the soothing townscape of Kitanakagusuku Village, which is even more relaxing.
Even within the same town, there are places like the bustling American Village, and there are quieter places like this! Chatan Town is very deep.
