Senaga Beach is only 18 minutes by car from Naha Airport! It is probably the next closest beach to Naha Airport after “Uminoue Beach”. It is located right next to “Umikaji Terrace on Senaga Island,” so you can enjoy the hot springs and sauna to prepare your body for the after-beach!

Point 1: What is the location of “Senaga Beach”?

Senaga Beach” is located in Tomigusuku City, not Naha City, although it is only an 18-minute drive from Naha Airport.

It can be reached by driving south on Route 331 from the airport toward the southern part of the city.

Senaga Beach is located in the north of Secho Island, 2 minutes by car from Umikazi Terrace, near the baseball field.

We are happy to let you use the washrooms and toilets at the baseball stadium.

This beach is recommended not only for those who are staying in Naha or the nearby area tonight but also for those who are going back to the airport after having fun in Senaga Island.

Point 2: What kind of beach is “Senaga Beach”?

Senaga Beach” is located in the northern part of Secho Island, near Naha Airport.

The beach is just like a bay, with a beautiful curve in the sand, so even small children can play safely because the waves are not so big.

The shallow waters make windsurfing and SUP recommended even for beginners.

However, since this is not an official beach, there are no rentals or activities, and swimming is at your own risk.

The beach is also said to be crowded with many campers on weekends. This may be because there is a moderate amount of greenery and shadows on the beach. Access is convenient, so you can camp easily!

Point 3: How to get ready at “Senaga Beach” after-beach?

From “Senaga Beach” to “Senaga Island Umikaji Terrace” takes only 2 minutes by car. Umikazi Terrace is one of the most visited commercial facilities in Okinawa, and is inevitably crowded.

Since you are feeling so good in the ocean, why don’t you go to “Ryujin no Yu” located on the same site as Umikazi Terrace and get your body in shape before you go home?

For 1,500 yen for adults (1,700 yen on holidays), you can use the sauna, mist sauna, sleeping bath, standing bath, jar bath, rock bath, salt sauna, and indoor bath.

The most popular are the powerful wax in the sauna and the semi-open-air “standing bath” with a view of airplanes taking off and landing at Naha Airport’s Terminal 2.

You can also use the special amenities in the after-bath, which are perfect for conditioning your skin.
