About an hour drive from Naha Airport. In Yomitan Village in the central part of the main island of Okinawa, there is a cafe that serves Yachimunde food and drinks. The oven-baked pizzas, drinks, and sweets are served on a terrace filled with nature! It is a relaxing experience that is different from the seaside.

Yachimun & Cafe Gunsei” is located in the mountainous area of Yomitan Village in central Okinawa.
It is only a 4-minute drive from “Yachimun-no-sato” where Okinawan pottery (yachimun) is exhibited and sold.
The first floor is a gallery where yachimun are displayed and sold, while the second floor is an eat-in space.
There is also a workshop and gallery next door where you can try your hand at yachimun, so it is a great place for yachimun lovers. It is truly a café unique to Yomitan Village.
At Yachimun & Cafe Gunsei, all food, drinks, and desserts are served in Yachimun. Even iced drinks are served in Yachimun, which is a bit rare, don’t you think?
For food, there is pizza baked in a unique Shisa-shaped oven.
There are always about eight types of pizza available, including the standard Gorgonzola & Honey, Margherita, Whimsy, Sausage & Bacon, and unique Butter Chicken & Garlic Cheese, Okinawan Island Vegetables, and Pear Brown Sugar.
All are popular, but the butter chicken & garlic cheese seems to be the most popular.
The size is 20 cm in diameter, but the dough is so thin that one person can easily eat it all by themselves.
Also very inexpensive at 450 yen for a generous 2.3 servings is the “Bacon Caesar Salad,” another popular dish with a rich dressing.
The pizza is also very reasonably priced at 850 to 1,300 yen, which is a good thing nowadays!
Point 2: Introduction of the drink menu of “Yachimun & Cafe Gunzei”!
Yachimun & Cafe Gunsei” also offers drinks served at Yachimun.
There are café lattes, coffee, brown sugar cappuccinos, ripe banana and brown sugar smoothies, small bottles of Orion beer, and other Okinawan-style drinks, as well as soft drinks such as Corona beer, Pepsi, orange juice, and oolong tea.
Drinks are also available at great service prices ranging from 200 yen to 500 yen!
The prices are so low that one wonders if it is okay to have them in a nice Yachimun. And the fact that even cold drinks, such as beer and juice, are served in yachimuns is unique!
The owner is a very friendly person, but I am sure he has a great spirit of service.
Point 3: Introduction of the dessert menu at “Yachimun & Cafe Gunzei”!
Yachimun & Cafe Gunzei offers desserts such as tiramisu, panna cotta, seekwasa sorbet, and baked cheesecake.
There are only a few varieties, but the tiramisu, with its creamy texture, is very popular.
It comes in a beautiful Yachimun cup, which not only makes it delicious, but also increases its visual appeal by 30%! It’s a little more exciting when it’s beautiful to the eye, isn’t it?
The cafe also has a terrace where you can relax and enjoy the pleasant Yomitan breeze.
You can spend a relaxing moment while feeling the pleasant breeze of Yomitan.
