Hiratahara Beach” is a pristine, shallow, and very clean beach with not a single piece of trash. According to some sources, local people volunteer to clean the beach from time to time.

There are few restaurants in the vicinity of “Hiratabaru no Hama”.
However, just a 6-minute drive away is a famous taco store representing Okinawa, “King Taco Honten”.
This Kanamu-cho is the birthplace of “taco rice.” It started when a former restaurant called “Parlor Senri” developed a menu with American soldiers in mind in Kanamu-cho near the base, and now its relatives have taken over the taste of the dish at King Taco.
By the way, if you order “Taco Rice”, you will be served without vegetables and cheese, so please order “Taco Rice Cheese Vegetables”.
The “tacos” are also quite cost-effective at 700 yen, with so much lettuce, taco meat, and cheese that you can hardly see the dough.
