It takes less than one hour from Naha Airport by car and boat. It is a beach on an uninhabited island in the Kerama Islands. The clear blue sea is so clear that you can already see tropical fish as you are crossing the island’s pier! This is a place you should experience after overcoming the hurdle of being on a remote island.

Point 1: How can I get to “Naganu Island Beach”?

Naganu Island Beach” is located on a long, narrow, uninhabited coral island about 20 minutes by boat from Tomari Port in Naha City, and belongs to the Kerama Islands.

First, go to Tomari Port in Naha City. It takes 15 minutes by car, but 30 minutes by monorail. The area around Tomari Port is crowded in the morning, so be sure to arrive about one hour before departure.

There are one to three boats per day depending on the season, and during the season they are often full, so reservations are recommended, but if available, you can board without a reservation. The boats are small and rocky, so those who are anxious may want to prepare anti-sickness medicine.

Please note that at Tomari Port, departures are from the north shore and arrivals are from the south shore, arriving at a different shore than when departing.

Only 20 minutes by boat from the main island of Okinawa, you will encounter an ocean of extraordinary clarity. It is at a level where you can see tropical fish swimming from the top of the pier.

Point 2: What activities are available at “Naganu Island Beach”? Are there any rentals?

Naganu Island Beach” is a beach for people who do marine sports, so activities and rentals are available.

Kerama blue and pure white sand. It is just like a picture of a tropical beach. Many people come from Tomari Port in Naha and enjoy marine sports for 3 to 5 hours and go back home, but I really recommend this beach because it has facilities to enjoy activities to the fullest.

First of all, activities include dragon boat, snorkeling, aqua park, ocean walk, wakeboarding, parasailing, and whale watching.

Snorkeling is available only on paid tours, and life jackets are required.

During the season, it is recommended to make reservations through the website.

Parasols, beach chairs, and snorkel sets are available for rent.

If you get tired of the activities, it is fun to take a walk around the island. However, there is not much shade, so be careful of heat stroke.

The long pier and pink doors are great photo spots for Instagram!

From April to November, you can also enjoy BBQ on the beach. BBQ at the perfect location will surely be unforgettable!

Point 3: “Naganu Island Beach” Naganu Island actually offers lodging!

The “Naganu Island Beach” tour is available as a one-day course and an overnight course.

From June to November, you can experience camping in the overnight course.

The price is 18,000 yen for adults and 16,000 yen for children,
