Okinawa Harbor View Hotel is a long-established hotel located in Izumisaki, central Naha City. It is a hotel of such tradition and prestige that it was chosen as the accommodation for the Showa Emperor’s visit to Okinawa, and has also been used by the current Emperor on his visits to Okinawa. The Harbor View Club (a social club for U.S. citizens) was located on the site of the Okinawa Harbor View Hotel and opened in 1952. The club was discontinued after the reversion to mainland Japan, and the Okinawa Harbor View Hotel opened on the site of the club in June 1975.
