21 minutes drive from Ishigaki Island and Minamimujima Airport. The beach is located in front of Ishigakijima ANA Intercontinental Hotel. It is a public beach, so you can enjoy it even if you are not a guest. However, the fee is higher than hotel guests. What kind of beach is Maesato Beach?

Point 1: What are the free benefits for “Maesato Beach” ANA Intercontinental guests?

Maesato Beach” is located in the southern part of Ishigaki Island, in front of ANA Intercontinental Hotel.

This is not a private beach of the hotel, but a public beach, so it can be used by the general public except for hotel guests.

The long white sand beach is lined with beautiful white parasols, creating a very elegant atmosphere.

It is not crowded with people washing potatoes. It is indeed a hotel-managed beach.

If you are a hotel guest, there are many “privileges” that are either free or at a reduced rate.

You may think, “If that’s the case, why don’t I stay at the hotel?” But the ANA InterContinental Hotel is a budget traveler’s dream, and a room per night costs about 33,000 yen.

Incidentally, as for marine privileges for hotel guests, those that are free for guests are usually 6,000 yen per day, 3,000 for 60 minutes parasol + chair set, 500 yen per beach towel, and 700 yen per pair of box glasses.

The rest of the rental passports, activities, beach rentals, and experience menus are discounted by about 500 yen to 1,000 yen.

The free parasol + chair set worth 6,000 yen per day is significant, but the rest of the price is not that much different, so why not feel free to rent a non-guest?

However, please note that during peak season, beach parasol rentals also seem to give priority to guests.

Point 2: What kinds of activities are available at “Maesato Beach”?

What kind of activities are available at Maesato Beach?

The variety of activities is not bad for a beach in Okinawa.

There are the standard banana boat, marine jet, towing, boat & beach snorkeling, SUP school, sea kayak tour, diving, and more.

In addition, it is the only place in Ishigaki Island where you can do Seawalk.

There is also an ocean park for parents and children to enjoy and summer exploration tours for all ages.

There is a watchman, and wave blockers are installed, so you can rest assured that the waves will not be too big.

Point 3: What are the highlights of “Maesato Beach” after-beach?

Maesato Beach is located a little east of the center of the island. It takes about 10 minutes by car.

If you want to see souvenirs of Ishigaki Island, we recommend you to go to “Euglena Mall”, the southernmost shopping arcade in Japan.

There are souvenir stores, restaurants, food stores, drug stores, public market, and fashion stores.

It is so interesting that there is even a public market in the shopping arcade! Please visit there.
