About an hour and a half drive from Naha Airport. It is a scenic spot on the Pacific Ocean side in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island. Rather than a beach, it is a scenic spot overlooking the ocean where you can take pictures, hang glide, paraglide, and BBQ camping. The fee is kind of a substitute for the facility usage fee.

Point 1: Where is “Dugong no Mieru Oka”?

Dugong no Mieru Oka” is located on the Pacific Ocean side of Nago City in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island.

It is located between Ginoza, which has a relatively large number of resort hotels, and Higashi Village, which has been undergoing development in recent years, and can be said to be an area that few tourists visit.

The hill has an owner who charges a fee to show the view, and permits use as a starting point for activities such as paragliding, BBQ/camping, or commercial camera, video, and drone photography.

Point 2: Why is there a fee for “Dugong no Mieru Oka”?

Dugong no Mieru Oka (Hill with a View of Dugong)” used to be free of charge, but it seems that a fee has been charged at some point. The hill is managed by a company called “Yayoi Create.” To enter the hill, the public must make a reservation through the website and pay 500 yen.

In addition to the 500 yen, an additional fee is required for photography, video, and drone photography. The same applies to hang gliding, paragliding, camping, and BBQ.

You may be surprised that we charge to enter the hill. You will be surprised at the scenery.

On a clear day, the panoramic view of the ocean, with its incredible emerald green to turquoise gradient, is unmatched by any other place in the world.

Point 3: What you can do at “Dugong no Mieru Oka”.

In addition to public access, “Dugong no Mieru Oka” offers commercial photo, video, and drone shooting, hang gliding and paragliding, as shown in the photo, as well as camping and BBQ.

All of these require an additional fee in addition to the general admission fee, but the one-of-a-kind panoramic view is worth the fee.

In particular, the view from the hill is panoramic, just like a fisheye lens, because of the bay.

Especially for photographers, the gradation of emerald green and turquoise blue is unbelievably beautiful! and it has received rave reviews from all quarters.

Once you experience the view from here, you will be addicted to it.
