About 38 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This vegan churros store is located in Chatan-cho, in the central part of Okinawa’s main island. The store, run by a couple, is a cute one-story building. There is no eat-in space, but since it is right by the ocean, you can enjoy eating while looking at the ocean.

Point 1: Ameville North! What is the location of “La Turelia Chatan”?

La Turelia Chatan” is located in Chatan-cho, in the central part of the main island of Okinawa.

Chatan-cho reminds one of the American Village, but it is located along the coast to the north of the American Village.

It takes about 38 minutes from Naha Airport by car. By bus, the shortest route without transfer is to take Limousine Bus A or Chatan Liner, get off at “La Gent Hotel” and walk 17 minutes, or from Naha Airport Domestic Flight, take Ryukyu Bus No. 120, get off at “Ihei” and walk 13 minutes.

The cute white one-story building looks like a foreigner’s residence by the sea. It is run by a couple.

Since it is a small store, there is no eat-in space, but sitting by the sea is recommended!

If it is a clear day, you can eat churros with the bright blue ocean in the background, which will make for a great Instagram photo.

Sometimes, they also have a stall at local events. If you happen to run into them, you are in luck!

Point 2: Introduction of the churros menu at “La Turelia Chatan”!

La Turelia Chatan’s vegan churros are made without sugar, eggs, or butter.
They are made with a blend of whole wheat flour from the prefecture’s pesticide-free “Kanasan Shimamugi” and wheat flour from Kyushu and prefectural salt.

The “Shimamugi Kanasan” is sometimes seen used in Okinawan restaurants, and is said to be made without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. It is produced by a company in Ishikawa, Uruma City, and although it has only been branded for a short period, production is expected to expand rapidly.

The churros made with such Okinawan brand flour are very firm and have the aroma of whole wheat flour, which is unique.

Point 3: Introducing the non-churro menu at La Turelia Chatan

La Turelia Chatan has another popular product.

It is the “Choco Latte,” which is made with organic cacao and oats milk, and sweetened with agave syrup instead of sugar.

Since no artificial sweeteners are used, it has a very gentle taste. You can feel it go into your body smoothly.

It may be that this is an area where many foreigners are concerned about healthy ingredients, but it would be nice if this became a standard in Japan in general.

Another specialty of this store is the churros ice cream, which is made from churros that are swirled around instead of cookies!

Available in mango, banana, strawberry, and mixed berry varieties, it costs 900 yen by itself, but 1,200 yen as a combo with a drink.

A cute and picturesque vegan churros shop by the sea. Please come and visit.
