Approximately 1 hour and 47 minutes by car from Naha Airport. This is a cool hotel renovated from an old hotel in Hedona, Kunigami Village in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island. The hotel is a place where young people’s “suki” and “cool” are scattered here and there, making it a place you want to go all the way to, even if it is far from home. The concept is a “weekend hostel” that you can easily visit.
Point 1: Almost 2 hours from the airport! What is the location of Yanbaru Hostel?
Yanbaru Hostel” is a petit hotel located in Hedona, Kunigami Village in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island, which was renovated from an old hotel.
It is a picturesque hotel that was renovated from what was probably a run-of-the-mill resort hotel and is filled with the “suki” and “cool” of the young.
From Naha Airport, it takes 1 hour and 48 minutes via Route 58 and Okinawa Expressway. By bus, take YKB888 Yanbaru Express Bus to Nago City Hall, then take Ryukyu Bus No. 67 from in front of Hokubu Joint Government Building, an 8-minute walk away, and get off at Hedona. A 2-minute walk will take you to the hotel.
Although there are transfers only by local buses, it is cheaper and takes only 2.5 hours to take the Yanbaru Express Bus.
The exterior of the hotel has only the word “HOSTEL” written in yellow font on the front. It looks like a foreign-affiliated hotel from the days when Okinawa was returned to Japan from the United States. What kind of hotel is it?
Point 2: Three types of rooms for different purposes! Introduction of “Yanbaru Hostel” room types.
『Yanbaru Hostel” aims to be a ‘weekend hostel’ of the modern era, where LCCs have become more and more available, rather than a hotel where you stay for a luxurious once-a-year trip.
It is an inn where you can go and stay casually as soon as you think of it. A “nice inn to go home to” when the weekend comes. What a wonderful concept!

The family room is 28 square meters in size, with two semi-double beds, and is priced at 18,000 yen. Prices start at 18,000 yen.

I wish I could have found a hostel like this when I was younger! I’m sure I would have saved up money from my part-time job and come here to stay once every few months or so.
These rooms are so nice that they make you think about that.
Point 3: Introduction of “Yanbaru Hostel” facilities and amenities!
